Earth Magic Training

"Hello Addie, welcome to your first magic lesson with me." Uncle Isaiah smiled at me and bowed just a little when he saw me coming into the garden with Uncle Dominic. He hadn't joined us for breakfast but I knew that I would be seeing him soon.

"Hello, Uncle Isaiah. I am happy to see you. It is exciting, knowing that I am going to learn some earth magic."

"You're not afraid of it, are you? I know that I showed you some very intense magic the day that I met you."

"No, Uncle Isaiah, I am not afraid of the magic that you can teach me. I understand that the magic that you used that day was to save my life. You didn't even know me then and you were so intent on saving me. You were my hero. My knight in shining armor."

"Your what?" Uncle Isaiah laughed at me as he tried to figure out what it was that I had just said. I can't believe that I used another one of the sayings from my old life. I needed to make sure that I kept those to myself.
