A Dreamy Life I

{AN: This is maybe going to be dropped. Frankly I never liked uploading my fanfics and only liked writing it. I'm the kind of guy that just writes stories for my own enjoyment, the only reason I upload these kind of things is because my brother convinced me to.

I'll still continue this story but frankly I don't know if I'm going to upload it.

I know this may not make sense but think of it as a guy that doesn't like having his work be seen.

I'll upload all my chapters that are in stock and if I do return then everything I just said is a lie.

Enjoy the chapter.}

---------------------------------------

At a school, all students could hear the bell ringing signifying that the day was over. In one of the classes, everyone was preparing to leave but the teacher stopped them.

"You'll start classes with me Monday morning so I have a homework for all of you." The teacher looked down to her schedule and found a homework to give.

But just as she looked up, she saw all the students absent.

"Hey! Don't run away before I give you all your homework!"

But accepting this, she fell down to her chair and lied down exhaustingly.

"They got me..."

She had been an elementary teacher for years but this was probably one of the only classes who ignored her and always did whatever they wanted.

They were children after all and had no worries about anything. Oblivious to reality as they played as much as they wanted to.

She smiled as she looked at the window to see the students going around in the park and seeing their parents picking them up. "Well kids have to enjoy their youth."

Just then she felt a tug on her shirt which prompted her to look down. There she saw a brown haired girl that looked to be nine years old holding her shirt as if to catch her attention.

"Nao! What are you still doing here?" The other students had already left but this seemed to have stayed there.

The girl had brown hair and wore the Renchoku Girl's school uniform.

The uniform was designed with striped cuffs and collars on a white long sleeved shirt with a black skirt, black stockings, and black shoes. She has also worn a black dress with white shoes.

Her eyes were covered with dark glasses and her body was smaller than her classmates.

She picked up a white board and wrote on it showing it to the teacher.

'I was waiting for the homework.' It was written.

Reading this, the teacher smiled as at least one of the students enjoyed her classes.

"You don't need to worry about it. Come on, I'll take you to your father in the parking lot." Nao smiled and nodded happy that someone wanted to help her.

This girl's name is Nakayama Nao.

She is the girl that Arai had saved in his first solo mission as a sorcerer. Forfeiting her status as a sorcerer, she has been living a normal life for a year now.

Her teacher brought Nao to her father who was waiting for her with his car.

He was a brown haired man and wore a casual white shirt with a black jacket on top with blue jeans. His face had wrinkles on it showing how much stress he had built up. Though he was only in his mid thirties, he looked in his late forties with all the wrinkles.

His name was Nakayama Kohaku, former clan leader of the dissolved clan Nakayama.

"Thank you for bringing her here."

"It was my pleasure, Mr. Nakayama. She's a very diligent student and is always listening to me while taking notes. You must be proud of such an amazing daughter."

He looked down to his daughter who was unaware that he was even looking at her as she was blind. She had been born blind, mute, deaf, and was born with a weak body, the fact that she had been born like this gave her an immense amount of cursed energy and a unique seventh sense.

{AN: The sixth being the one where you can sense and see cursed energy.}

Forcing her to shoulder the burden of being a sorcerer just for following traditions. He knew he could not atone for taking away his child's childhood.

"Yes, I am." He rubbed her hair fondly making her smile.

But he would try his best to make sure that she would live a normal and good life. That was his only goal.

Saying her goodbye to her teacher, her father brought her to their house. Unlike the previous mansion they were living in, it seemed modest compared to it.

The house was well maintained as not even a speck of dirt could be seen on the stairs or anything. It was a house made out of brick with its color being white and grey mostly.

Her father didn't want to live in a traditional Japanese house as he wanted to disregard the traditions his family followed hence the normal house.

"I'll go make dinner, how about watching some shows in the meanwhile." Her father smiled and brought the remote to her.

The two had dinner as usual until it was late at night where Nao was finishing her homework. Due to not being able to see, Nao instead used her cursed energy as a sort of echo location being able to map out what was where and how to read.

Essentially, she imbues the cursed energy unto her book and can then read everything. Learning to read from this is harder but due to her having an immense amount of cursed energy. The after effects are barely noticeable.

'Done!' She thought and put her notebook away. Looking outside, she could feel the shape of her window, the houses everywhere, but because cursed energy was sent as a pulse from her. It was only one color.

She couldn't really see.

She could just tell the shape. There was no shade, no lighter color, it was just the same but with a different form.

She yearned to be like everyone was. To be able to live like they do.

To eat food and say it is delicious.

To see a moonlight and comment on how pretty it is.

To smell a garden of flower and tell how it was a refreshing scent.

Living her life as a student, she had come to enjoy her daily life. Living without having to bear the weight of expectations of an entire clan was liberating. She felt free and even started having friends despite her disabilities.

Children her age still played and talked to her.

But she still felt a distance between all of them. It wasn't intentional as they still want to talk and play with her.

The problem was that some things she couldn't do with them. Because of her frail body, she could not play sports a lot and they wouldn't choose her to play for their team. Physical activities were the only thing she couldn't do.

Her father had told her not to use cursed energy as it may endangered these people lives.

This sense of distance was faint but Nao had noticed it and feared that it may endanger her friendship with everyone. Something that she wouldn't want to happen.

Nao laid down on her bed and closed her eyes.

There were so many things that she wanted to do but couldn't.

But she accepted her flaws, knowing that one can't have everything.

'Accept what you have and not be too greedy.' was what she had always done.

So despite feeling distant with all her friends, it was something inevitable because of her condition.

It was impossible to change that, something that was placed on her the moment she was born. It could not be treated as it wasn't a disease but an authority.

It was always when she was about to sleep that she began having these thoughts so she pushed them away and soon began falling asleep.

She had a free day with her father tomorrow and she wanted to have all the energy she could.

Nao was about to fall asleep but suddenly felt something with her cursed energy sense.

She got up only to 'see' a figure in her window. The figure seemed to be a man from its figure.

Her face shown shock but despite having an intruder invade her house. If one could see her, they'd be able to tell that she was actually excited and happy.

She could not see how the figure looked but what she could see was his cursed energy and it was one that she had already seen before. She could never forget that day as it was a trauma but also the reason as to why she was finally free.

Her savior, she had always wanted to repay him.

Or even meet him.

She had seen his face but had never actually seen him awake as the only time Nao saw him was when he was unconscious from having gone to save her.

It was the man who had saved her a year ago against the terrorist organization 'Q'.

Isao Arai.

Arai who was standing at the window jumped down to face her. He could see her eyes which were white with no pupils.

"Tell me."

He kneeled down to be able to look at her face without straining his neck. His eyes glowed green and he smiled. The smile was akin to someone who had just found treasure and not one that was looking at a human being.

"Are you willing to die for me."

This is where I start changing the story a bit but I'll change it in a realistic manner like how Arai's existence would affect this world.
