The Visit

Adam was busy collating the files together and after he was done, he headed towards Jody’s office and knocked.

“Come in,” Jody responded from where she sat and Adam walked inside.

Jody raised her head up from where she sat and on sighting Adam, her face lit up.

“Hey,”

“Hey,” Adam responded with a smile. “I brought the files,” he said and handed it over to her which she received and placed on the table.

Having nothing else to say, Adam turned and started heading to the door. He was about pushing the door opened when Jody’s voice made him turn his head to look at her.

“Adam?” Jody called and he hummed.

“I’m so sorry with the turn of events. I wish I could do something about it.”

Adam nodded his head and replied, “It is fine. I believe you can do it without me.”

“Thank you,” Jody thanked him with a smile and he returned it.

“Anytime. Also, if you need anything, don’t hesitate to let me know. I can still be of little help, you know?”
