Dylan looked at the other man thoughtfully before answering.
“Yeah, I love them all.”
Aaron nodded. “That’s cool.”
“Why?”
“Nothing, I mean, I’m sure your secret admirer will be elated to know that the gifts are appreciated.”
“Yeah, they are.”
“So,” Aaron began. “Do you want to have dinner at my place?”
“Are you cooking?”
“Better not. You might end up in the emergency department at the hospital.”
“That bad, eh?”
“Very,” Aaron admitted, his cheeks tinting red from the slight embarrassment. “So, dinner at my place? I’ll call for some Chinese food from my favorite place.”
“Sure,” Dylan replied excitedly.
He had never been to Aaron’s place before. He was honestly curious about it.
“I’ll be done by half-past five. Will you be ready to leave at six?”
“Yeah.”
“Great, I’ll see you later,” Aaron remarked, leaning in for a brief kiss, before heading towards the door with his usual boxes of pastries. He waved goodbye to the girls and left.
