Ryu's Dao Heart had thought of this idea for his Body Realm Cultivation Method long ago, but he had been unwilling to take this step. Unfortunately, he also wasn't able to think of any other methods to do it either. That was because…

As great as the idea of Dao Bones and a Beast Core sounded, they weren't possible unless one was a beast. It required a connection to the Heavens that couldn't be replicated under normal means. 

Ryu had circumvented this somewhat with his Cosmos Fog, but ultimately these weren't real Dao Bones; they were fakes that had limited power as a result. 

Of course, this so-called "limited power" was still enough for Ryu to be ranked nearly all on his own in terms of Body Realm cultivation.
