Chapter 37: Jun Yichen was Criticized

He turned his head towards Chi Ai and stared at her eyes, for a moment his heart shivered.

'Her eyes, how alluring' he thought to himself.

He has met many young ladies, women however no one was able to make his heart beat so rapidly just like now.

His gaze softens towards but soon a trace of pity flashed past his eyes, if this girl had tried to harm his mother he will never leave her.

Chi Ai was bewildered seeing pity in his eyes but soon understood his underlying meaning.

However, Chi Ai had a hint of chill excluding all over her body right now.

'Such useless trash, he can even differentiate truth from a situation" She thought to herself.

Jun Yichen regained his sense and was about to say something when Mrs. Jun came out of her state and explained,

"Ah Chen, she is Chi Ai, Ai is my savior, these two..." Mrs. Jun pointed towards the charming lady and fierce man and continued,

"These two held me as a hostage, to blackmail the manager in return for handing over the newly arrived antiques."

Mrs. Jun sniffed before she added, "Even though the manager agreed to their demand they were not ready to leave me unharmed, it was Chi Ai who saved me on time."

Jun Yichen's body stiffened, 'So did he misunderstood just now?'

Normally Jun Yichen was not a reckless person however when it comes to her mother he can't control himself and lost his mind.

Jun Yichen looked at Chi Ai somewhat apologetic however the latter overlooked her apologies and held Mrs. Jun's hands to take her pulse.

As she expected due to constant emotional fluctuations Mrs. Jun lost most of her energy.

She said to Jun Yichen, " Arrange a resting room for her she is about to faint in 5 minutes."

Hearing this Jun Yichen immediately ordered his subordinate to do the arrangement.

Mrs. Jun was placed on the bed and before she could protest she fainted.

Jun Yichen was befuddled ' how can she accurately guess when a person is going to faint?'

He tentatively asked, "Are you a doctor?"

Chi Ai faintly hummed before she pressed serval acupuncture on Mrs. Jun's body to relax her body.

She started messaging her, slowly but deeply Mrs. Jun slept relaxingly.

Jun Yichen was once again stunned.

He knew her mother had an a advanced-stage insomnia and can't relax even after lying on the bed.

Jun Yichen faintly smiled towards Chi Ai and said, "Thank you, Miss Chi Ai, if it wasn't for you..."

Before he could finish Chi Ai expressionlessly asked, "Are you Young Master Jun, the son of Mrs. Jun?"

The expression on Chi Ai became even more solemn.

Seeing this Jun Yichen became tensed.

'Does her mother contracted some serious diseases'

Jun Yichen asked solemnly, "Does my mother have contracted any serious diseases? Is her insomnia getting worse day by day? Can she be saved?"

Jun Yichen asked series of questions without giving a chance to Chi Ai to explain.

The atmosphere became strangely eerie.

While Jun Yichen was bewildered, Chi Ai continued criticizing him, "You are not even a slight bit quick-witted, who gave you the title of 'Lone Wolf' In my opinion you are a rat who will chicken out in the important situations."

Chi Ai wanted to continue to scold him but stopped in mid-way to give some face to Mrs. Jun and called out,
