However, Kane immediately stopped him and clutched his wrist.

Since the guy was back inside his original body, he returned to be the same mute guard he had always known for. 

"I have to do this, Kane..." Kyran calmly said as he yanked away his hand from Kane's grip. "I will stay inside Ryley's body from now on. I've locked him somewhere else, but there's still a chance that he will come back and possess an empty vessel, especially my body, simply because we are still blood-related." 

Kane furrowed his brows disapprovingly when he heard it. Then his hands moved to make some signs.

[Isn't there another way?]

Seeing this, Kyran let out a deep sigh and replied in the same way. "I wished there was. Besides, I have to take my precious essence to make sure that nobody can use my vessel's power while I don't have control over it."

It was definitely a made-up lie, but no one except Kyran realized it.
