Chapter 44: Drugs (1)

After coming into the club, the first thing Lin Fan did was save.

After all, he was currently on a quest right now and he didn't know just how dangerous it was going to be, so he wanted to save before doing anything just in case something happened.

"Save request has been confirmed. The host had created a save file."

Once this save was finished, Lin Fan brought Murong Yue onto the dance floor and pretended to dance for a bit as he began scouting out the area around him.

According to the information that Yan Luo gave him, there were many hidden rooms in the back where all the illegal matters were carried out. The dance club in the front was only a cover that hid everything illegal, but that also didn't mean that everything in the front was legal since that was what kind of club this was.

When they were finished scouting out the area, Lin Fan brought Murong Yue over to the side and found a table for them to sit at to rest for a bit. Of course, when they left the dance floor, there was a trace of disappointment that appeared in Murong Yue's eyes since as far as she knew, this was a date for them.

As soon as they sat down, there were plenty of people that came over to hit on both Murong Yue and Lin Fan. While they had been dancing, there were plenty of eyes from both genders that had been watching them.

There were plenty of people who brought drinks over, but Lin Fan and Murong Yue ignored them all and just talked among themselves. It was almost as if there was a barrier that had appeared that kept them all away.

That was, all of them except for a single person.

This was a person with fiery red hair that was even brighter than Murong Yue's red hair and he was also quite handsome.

But the reason why he came over wasn't to flirt with either of them like the rest had, rather this person came for another reason. A reason that would have been considered illegal.

This person came up and said, "Hey, are you guys looking for some fun?"

Lin Fan looked at him with a raised brow and asked, "Fun, what kind of fun?"

The person with the red hair said, "It's a kind of fun that you can only find in a place like this, that is, if you're willing to try it. If you're not, I'll just go find someone else."

Lin Fan could tell that he was signaling something with his words, but he still said, "Just what is it already? How can I know if I'm willing or not if I don't even know what it is."

The person with the red hair revealed a smile before saying, "Well that's right I guess. I forgot that I didn't even tell you what it is." After saying this, he reached into his pocket to take out something, but it was so small that Lin Fan and Murong Yue could only see what it was after he opened his palm.

However, the moment he opened up his palm, both Lin Fan and Murong Yue were surprised by what they saw.

In the center of his palm, there were several blue pills lying there.

In this kind of environment, it wasn't hard to tell what kind of pills these were. The only thing they could be was narcotics.

To offer drugs to someone like Murong Yue who was a cop could be considered laughable, but then again, she didn't look like a cop at all in her current dress at all.

Murong Yue immediately knitted her brows since she could tell that something was off and she turned to look at Lin Fan with a questioning gaze, but Lin Fan didn't have time to worry about that right now.

Lin Fan just looked at the person with the red hair and asked, "What kind of pills are these?"

The person with the red hair asked, "Does it matter? Are you going to buy them or not?"

Lin Fan hesitated for a bit before asking, "How much?"

The person with the red hair thought for a bit before saying, "Since you're clearly first time customers, I can give you a discount. Normally it would be 50 per pill, but I'll give it to you for 20 per pill today. So how about it?"

Lin Fan once again hesitated a bit before giving a nod. Normally he would have paid with his phone, but since this was an illegal transaction, it seemed like it was a better idea to pay with cash. So Lin Fan took out his wallet and pulled out two hundred dollar bills for this person before taking the nine pills in his hand and getting twenty dollars back.

During this whole time, it was quite clear that Murong Yue was glaring at Lin Fan, but he tried his best to ignore this.

After handing over the pills and the money, that person with the red hair said with a smile, "If you need any more pills in the future, just call for me." He took out a card and left it with Lin Fan before heading off to another table in the club.

Lin Fan looked at the card and it had both his name and number on it which was a strange thing. Even a drug dealer had a business card, that kind of professionalism didn't really fit this kind of business.

This drug dealer's name was Yan Huo which was kind of suitable since his name was just like his hair.

After he was gone, they went back to their own private space and Murong Yue said, "So this wasn't a date?"

Lin Fan revealed an awkward smile and said, "It can be if you want it to be."

Murong Yue looked around again before saying in a lower voice, "Is this place related to the case?"

Lin Fan hesitantly looked at her for a bit before giving a nod and saying, "This is where they store all their illegal products and sell them. The club is a cover, the real operation is in the back."

Murong Yue knitted her brows when she heard this and she said, "You know you're not supposed to be doing this kind of stuff. And you're supposed to tell me this kind of stuff, I am your watcher."

Lin Fan said with an awkward smile, "If I told you, would you have let me come?"

Murong Yue was silent for a bit, but she still said in the end, "This kind of thing is too dangerous for you, you shouldn't be here."

Lin Fan calmed himself down before saying, "Still, we're here now, so there's nothing we can do about it now. If we just leave right now, they'll get suspicious and send people after us, so we have to keep going."

Murong Yue wanted to say something, but there was nothing she could say to refute this since Lin Fan was technically right.

After leaning back in her chair, Murong Yue's mind began to wander as she considered whether she should lock him up or not.

He had been basically locked up before since he never left his house, so she never needed to worry. But just in the past few days, the incidents he had been through were more than he had been through in all his years combined…

She gave up this idea back then, but now she was wondering if it was the right choice…

After sitting for a bit, Lin Fan stood up and headed to the bar. Naturally Murong Yue was now closely following behind him. He wouldn't be allowed to make a single move without her following him.

After reaching the bar, Lin Fan called the bartender and leaned in before saying, "Is there a special tonight?"

The bartender looked at Lin Fan calmly and asked, "What do you mean?"

Lin Fan took out a ten from his wallet and slipped it over to the bartender before saying, "I want to order the special if you have it."

The bartender looked at the bill on the table for a bit before taking it and giving Lin Fan a nod. Then he said, "Follow me."

After saying this, he began moving along the bar to another area where there was an entrance to come behind the bar. However, once he saw Murong Yue following Lin Fan as well, the bartender turned back and asked, "Is she with you?"

Lin Fan just gave a nod in response.

The bartender stopped moving and tapped the bar before giving a cough.

Lin Fan was confused at first, but then he realized what the bartender wanted. Lin Fan took out another ten from his wallet and slid it over to him.

Only then did the bartender reveal a smile and continue moving forward.

He opened the entrance and let Lin Fan and Murong Yue behind the bar before leading them over to a door that was way in the back.

As soon as they came through the door, they found a hallway that was completely white with someone standing there.

That person was surprised to see the bartender come in, but then he asked, "How many?"

The bartender pointed at Lin Fan and Murong Yue behind him before saying, "Just these two."

That person was surprised when he saw what Lin Fan and Murong Yue looked like, but he still led them to two separate rooms.

Murong Yue looked like she wanted to go with Lin Fan, but since they were already deep in enemy territory, there was nothing she could do but go into her own room.

Lin Fan also walked into his room and the moment he did, he walked into a room that looked like a love hotel room.

In the center was a bed and on that bed was a young girl with a mask on her face.

When she saw Lin Fan, she asked, "Are you here to buy me?"
