The day that Makai and I were due to leave for his birthday celebration was exactly one week after our graduation party. It was time for the two of us to be alone once again. It was time for me to celebrate him like he had celebrated me so many times before.

This whole trip, every part of it, was planned by me. There wasn't a lot to it, but I wanted to make sure that we were going to be able to have fun. We were staying in our condo, but we weren't setting it up any more. It was finished enough for us to spend a week there, so we were fine on that aspect. We would be sleeping there, eating there most of the time, and of course having lots of fun there.
