I rush to aid Master Wu, he sees me and nods. We get into a two-man formation and we begin our assault. We dodge countless attacks, hoping for an opening, hoping for the avatar to tire out, but it seems her energy is endless. A hook from below hits master in the side and he falls. I look around and I see that the metal benders have come to the avatar's aid. I curse my bad luck and I try to think about what to do.

'I need to do something, this is getting us nowhere. Masters is hit, I'm hit and we are both running out of energy.'

While Korra bends fire I clench my teeth and run straight into the fire, while I have the suit on me it doesn't provide me with the best protection against heat. I get to her and catch her by the neck whisper in her ear.

"Korra, It's me, Ethan, I need you to meet me at my house as fast as you can. Be careful to be alone. I'm counting on you."

I can feel her pulse quickening, I know that she heard me. I punch her in the stomach to create space and I rush to grab Master Wu. He's hit but can still move. I then proceed to run to the edge of the roof. The airships are too far away for us to make it to any of them, I need to improvise.

'God damn it. Why does it always come to this?'

I slide on the side of the roof and I use the momentum to jump in the water. It was a 200-meter drop give or take and to be honest, this wasn't that worst part, the worst part was the cold water.

After Wu and I finally get to shore, he collapses. I rush to look at him and to see if he's still alive. He is, barely. I ditch the suits and I steal some cloth from the houses nearby. I change myself and then him. I see that his wound is still bleeding, not a good sign, I need to do something to stop the bleeding and fast. I look around and the only thing I see are his batons and my gloves, I know what I need to do but it isn't going to be pretty.

I manage to open up one of my gloves and I tweak the output to the maximum. I then take one of his batons and I electrify it. I can see the metal turning red and the I can hear the sound of shortcircuiting from the baton. I then shove the stick inside his wound. This makes him scream awakening him in the process, while he recovers from the shock I do the same with my shoulder. Thanks to my 'limbo state' I don't feel anything.

"What happened?"

"Well master, we were fighting the avatar then you got hit and here we are, easy as that."

"How did you get here?"

"Oh, it seems you don't remember, after you got hit, I thought it best to retreat, since the airships were too far away I decided the only way out was to jump in the water, not one of my best plans but still pretty good overall. Then we got to shore and here we are now."

"Ok, let's go, we need to meet with the others."

He makes a few steps and falls to the ground. I go and lift his body putting him on my shoulder.

"What you need is a doctor or a healer, after that, we go where ever you want."

"That's a good plan..." He mutters and goes back to sleep.

It was an easy journey from the beach to my house since most of the police was at the arena. We got inside and I laid master on a table. Then I started to look in my drawers for something I have been working on. It was a form of painkiller that I invented, I made it for Nya since if she got hurt this could at least elevate the pain. After I injected master with it I went to the kitchen and started to make some food. It was a long night and it still wasn't over.

About an hour after I arrived Nya came home.

"I knew I would find you here. How is master?"

"Stable for now, I injected him with something to help him relax, I'm waiting for Korra to arrive and heal both of us."

"That being said, let me have a look at your wound". I show her my shoulder and she starts to inspect it.

I tell her how I got home and she just keeps looking at my burned wound.

"I don't know what to say, I'm still not decided if you're a genius or a mad man."

"Why not both?"

"Haaaa, you gave me a huge scare when I saw you get hit then a bigger one when I saw you jump from the stadium's roof. Don't do that ever again!"

"Ok, ok, I promise. Now let's just eat something I'm starving."

We go to the kitchen and she sees the food I prepared.

"You were injured, our master was dying on your workshop table and you thought the best thing to do is dinner?"

"Yes! But actually no! Anyway, let's eat."

We start to eat and we hear a knock on the door. I go to answer and I see Korra standing there. I open the door and I let her in.

"Good you finally came. You hungry, I made dinner or breakfast, I can't tell."

She looks at me and says with a serious expression.

"You are crazy!"

"I wholeheartedly agree with you Korra, he really is, but what can you do."

We go to the kitchen and Korra sees Wu on the table.

"Who's that?"

"Amon's second in command, my master."

"WHAT YOU BROUGHT HIM HERE?!"

"Yes, where was I supposed to bring him, he's injured, and I called you here for him so..."

"Wait, weren't you injured as well?"

"Sure am" I let her see my burned shoulder and I can see that it makes her hair go up.

"You did this to yourself?"

"Sure did, I couldn't just go around bleeding and neither could he, and since I didn't have any tool I need to improvise and this is the best thing I could come up with on the spot."

"That needs immediate treatment!"

"You sure you don't want to eat something first?"

"NO!" said both girls at the same time.
