I wandered about the room some more, there's barely any trace of personalized furniture. The room is a bare canvas, waiting to be imprinted on. There is an empty bookshelf and a mini-fridge with a collection of snacks and drinks thrown into it.
The dresser and cupboards turn up empty and clean, exceptionally clean too. Some of the furniture holds a scent of freshly cut wood. Looking out into the garden below, I don't think it is impossible that said furniture was cut and built here on the Residence premises.
The garden itself is massive, the little I can see from my vantage point tells of a quiet, serene orchard. There's bound to be more to see beyond the boundary, the Residence's territory is wide, extremely so.
It's ridiculous how they maintain a place like this…
Perhaps the answer to the maintenance would be the toaster-bots that roam about the place, carrying out various tasks. Still, is there no one else living here save for the five...six...
