[Episode 9]
Before checking what few options I have in acquiring a proper weapon, I should probably find a way to get rid of this woman first.
I know that she's been following me since she thinks I'm also a transgender woman, but I'm finding another person's presence extremely disturbing. Can't she just make friends with someone else? Someone who isn't me, or preferably anywhere near me.
"Hey excuse me. Not to be rude Miss, but could you give me some privacy already?"
Her passion for talking about various topics for the past hour has drained me of even the tiniest drops of energy I use to socialise. Normally I'd have enough energy to talk to various people throughout the day, but my will to talk to people has been sucked out from her chattering nonstop.
I know it may not sound like an impressive feat, after all, I generally don't talk to others in the first place, but since we met, she's only been talking while I aimlessly walk around, barely listening to what sounds like pointless babbling.
I have no energy to deal with this misunderstanding any longer! I'd much rather sit in a corner, by myself, not having to worry about someone monitoring my every move.
Despite my seriousness in asking her to leave me alone, she decides to ignore me by simply smiling and talking even more enthusiastically while continuing to follow me.
"No need to keep calling me Miss! The name's Lynn De Graaf. It's nice to meetcha sweets!"
Monotonously, with a slight nod, I reply, "Ah... Yeah."
If I haven't already made it obvious, I really and truly do not care. I've been trying to indicate that I'm not interested in what she's been telling me, but to no avail.
I'm sure this makes me sound like a horrible person, but I don't understand how these people are so fine about literally being teleported to another world, and are just casually mingling about after acting so horrified!
Just why are they so calm after being so tense just a moment ago?
Maybe I'm just too worked up about this situation since, in addition to many other things that are stressing me out right now, I became something I'm not.
"Hey hun, just wondering... What part of Denmark are you from? Your accent is quite odd."
"Pardon? Denmark!? I moved from the Uk to Japan because of my parents' work."
"I see!" She puts her hands together and raises them close to her face. "You're quite fluent at speaking Danish so I thought you might've lived in Denmark as well."
"What? I've only been speaking in Japanese this whole time though."
What's going on here? Me? speaking Danish?! I can only speak English and Japanese! And it seems like she can only speak in Danish.
There's only one thing that can explain why she thought I'd be speaking Danish. This must mean that we're all from different countries on Earth! But if that's the case, how can we communicate so well with each other?
Earlier in that crowd, everyone was speaking Japanese, or maybe English? I have no idea! But one thing's for sure! I've been interchangeably speaking in both Japanese and English due to habit. But what language have I been hearing this whole time?
"Excuse me, Miss Lynn-"
Lynn interrupts tutting, "Friends like you can call me Lynnie!" She requests with a grin.
"Yeah... Sorry but I think Lynn works best for me for now." I look away from Lynn, gripping my arm and angling my eyes towards the bare walls in discomfort, "You said that I've been speaking to you in Danish right? Hearing you speak again; you are speaking in a language I'm not familiar with, but I can somehow understand it. Is it the same for you?"
With a face clearly showing her disappointment, pouting she replies, "Yeah, now that I think about it, you don't sound like you're saying any Danish words... But enough of that! What's your name hun? I've been dying to know!"
Hiya Reader~ It's very nice to meet you! You can call me Lexi.
