Chapter 36

*Mandy*

I woke up in a barn. Adrianna held me back. I looked at Jasper with a sorry face.

"I'm so sorry." I say

"It's not your fault it's Lydia's but um we took care of her." Jasper says

Jasper gives me a hug. I look behind him and see Alex. She looks hurt by me hugging him.

"Jasper I think Alex really needs a hug right now." I say

He walked over to Alex and hugged her. They both didn't want to let go.

"How did you get here?" Adrianna asked

"My hunter impulses, I blank out and wake up in strange places... Today I went all the way from Kentucky to Michigan." I say

"How is that even possible?" Jasper asked

"I have special abilities as a hunter and so should you Mandy." I say to the other Mandy

"How old are you?" Mandy asks

"Same age." I say

"And the abilities don't come right away." I assure her

We all teleport to Adrianna's house which is where I was going to stay the night in the morning I'd leave.

I woke up in the morning and got to the airport. Adrianna said goodbye and I waited to board. What seemed like hours I sat in that chair.

"Plane 55 boarding seats A through E." The woman said

I looked down at my card and see seat K3.

Five minutes later...

"Plane 55 boarding seats F through J." She said

Five more minutes...

"Boarding seats K through O." She said

I followed her to the plane and found my seat and sat down. I looked at the tv in front of me. I looked through and decided on mocking jay part two.  I've always loved the hunger games series.

The movie ended and I moved on to the maze runner series. The plane landed and I got off.

I walked out of the airport and called Lola and Julian to pick me up.

"Yeah I'll be there in a couple of minutes." Lola said and hung up

I waited out side of the airport. I sat on the curb. Then Lola and Julian pulled up in Lola's car. Lola owns A black Dodge Viper with flame decals. I'm not sure how her father afforded that car... I got in and sat in the back. She drove me back to Adena's house.

We all walk in. I sit on the couch and Julian sits on the couch opposite to me. Lola stands in front of me.

"Where have you been?" Lola asked concerned

"I was blanking, again... Hunters instinct taking over." I sigh

"Are you okay?" Lola asked sitting next to me

"Yeah." I say

"Where'd you go?" Lola asked

"Wicked hollows." I sigh

"So you met Alex and Jasper then huh?" Julian asked

"Yeah, almost killed Jasper but yeah I met them." I say trying to lighten up

Then there's pounding at the door. I ran to it and opened it to see a very worried Ben. I let him in.

"Hey Ben what's wrong?" Julian asks

"The Lynch's... They killed Theo... with some kind of weapon... that even the rings can't protect!" Ben said a worried expression washed on his face

Julian and Lola looked scared, this was a look I rarely ever saw.

"How?" Lola swallowed

"I have no Idea but I'm really worried and two alphas are gone!" Ben said

"I know Adena's an alpha but who's the other?" I ask

Ben shuts up. I get up and walk toward him.

"Who's the other alpha?" I ask

"Maybe that's something to ask... Stephen." Ben said

"Stephen?" I asked Ben

"You seem surprised? He hasn't told you?" Ben asked

"Yes he's told me." I say

"Really?" Ben asked

"No, dumbfuck I just pretended to be surprised of course he didn't tell me!" I say

"Oh." Ben says

"Are you in his pack?" I ask Ben

"Yeah." Ben says

"Why?" Lola asked

"I don't know, he asked me." Ben said

"This isn't helping!" I shout

"Do you know what they used?" I ask

"A gun of some sort." Ben said

He still seemed in shock of his brothers death.

"What color was the gun?" I asked

"I don't know! It was a normal gun color!" Ben shouts

"No! It's was not! I couldn't have been! If it shot a supernatural with a ring that it had to be Excalibur!" I say

"Excalibur? Isn't that a sword?" Lola asked

"Excalibur is a myth, a story, a folk tale not real." Julian says

"It's not the sword it was just named Excalibur because with this gun it can kill any supernatural thing and with it hunters can rule." I sighed

"Why didn't you tell us about this gun?" Lola asked

"I didn't feel the need to tell you because I thought the gun was destroyed in the civil war between the Argento's and the Lynch's." I say

"Well apparently it wasn't!" Ben shouts

"I'm sorry Ben, but your brothers dead and there's no way to save him!" I say

"I wasn't asking for you to save him, I'm happy the bastard is dead! I was informing you he was killed although he had his ring!" Ben said

"How do you know the Lynch's killed him?" I asked

"I was there." Ben said

"What do you mean?" I ask

"I was going to check on him to make sure he stayed at the town line, then I saw him, on his knees the gun pointed at his head. I just stood there. I stood there, I wanted him dead. They shot the gun. The bullet went straight through his skull. I ran away hoping I wouldn't be next." Ben said

"I'm sorry Ben." Julian says

"I know I should have done something-"

I cut Ben off, "What would you have done?"

"I don't know... I could have done something." Ben sighed

"No, Ben you couldn't have... If you tried you would be dead too. And who would warn us?" I say

"I know. It's just I feel so guilty." Ben says
