Chapter 12

It had been a month now since Henry came back from England. He started working at the Bangkok General Hospital. He worked in shifts. There were times when he would be required to be on call for 36 hours. So I rarely seen him lately. I was also busy studying for my final examinations.

Josh seemed to be ignoring me and he was giving me the silent treatment. He doesn't seemed to pay any attention to any girls too lately. It could be due to his university entrance examinations.

However, things got pretty weird one day.

It was the last day of our school examinations as well as the university entrance examinations. All the students were very happy including myself. It was break time. I was in the canteen talking happily away with some of my friends about our plan after the examinations.

We were planning to go to the 'Damnoen Saduak' Floating Market which was 100km southwest of Bangkok. It had always been considered to be one of the most famous floating market in Thailand. There were around ten of us; four boys and six girls. We were very excited.

Suddenly, Josh walked over to me, catch hold of my arms and pulled me off the bench before I could react. My friends were flabbergasted too. He pulled me by my hand all the way to the back of the school building. There were nobody around there. Then he let go of my hand.

"What do you want? Why did you dragged me all the way here?" I asked him

"I am in the middle of a discussion with my friends." I said.

He gave me the dagger look. He walked closer to me which forces me to move backwards until I hit the wall behind me. He walked closer until he was leaning over me.

Staring straight into my eyes he said, "You are driving me crazy. Do you know that?"

"Can't you see that Mario was flirting with you? Don't you know that he has a crush on you? How can you even consider going on a trip with him?" Josh continued.

I heard him talking to his friends that he will be asking you to be his girlfriend at the end of the trip. How can you do this to me?" said Josh.

I looked back at him in the eyes and stammered "I.... thought... he was interested in Beam."

"How can you be so naive? Everyone can see that he was into you," said Josh.

Then I got a bit angry at Josh.

"Even if Mario is interested in me, what does it has to do with you? Isn't this my problem? I can handle it myself," I answered him back and started to move away but he blocked my way by putting both of his hand on the wall preventing me from moving away.

"You are driving me crazy. All these years I tried to suppress my feelings but I don't think I can hold it back anymore." said Josh.

"What did I do?" I asked him confusedly.

"I thought if I dated other girls, the feeling would go away but it never did. I thought I could control my feeling but I couldn't. I tried to avoid you but I can't." said Josh exasperatedly.

I am getting more confused.

"I love you, Sabrina. I mean.. I love you more than a sister."

"I fell in love with you from the very first time I saw you walking through our mansion gate with Chen. I could not explain why but I did." confessed Josh.

I couldn't believe what I just heard. My mind became blank. It was just too much for me to process.

Ring......!!!!

Luckily, I was saved by the bell. I quickly pushed Josh out of the way and ran all the way back to my class. Thank God our classes were on different blocks.

When school ended, I took my bag and walked sluggishly towards the front gate of the school. It was going to be awkward being around Josh after hearing what he said earlier on. It had never occur to me that he would felt that way about me.

I had always thought of him as a big brother, a best friend and my side kick in all our mischievous adventures. This was more complicated than trigonometry or algebra.

When I reached the car, Josh was already seated at the back of the car. He was staring at me as I got into the car beside him. I tried my best to avoid any contact with him.
