Chapter 059

"Graveler, dynamic punch! Use gyro ball, Koffing!! Don't let that lizard overwhelm you and kill him!"

Soros desperately gave out orders to his Pokemon as he faced off against Charmander. He had a bad feeling about the battle and his desperation was growing with every second.

At first, he had some confidence in his victory, but now, only restlessness and panic remained.

Glancing back, he could see that the other two grunts were swiftly getting dominated by Scyther and Mankey.

Arthur didn't even need to tell them the exact instructions. They will move exactly as he wished by just mere words and for them, this was a fight to just let out frustration.

After all, their opponent can't even follow their movements.

Scyther's claws were cutting through everything and Mankey was smashing Grimer's mud body into the ground.

It won't take them much to get defeated.

'Should I just run away? But that damn lizard is too quick...'

Sweat drenched his back as he thought. His forehead ceased with black lines and he was now regretting his decision to not report to Ronin.

At the same time, one question was screaming in his mind.

In front of him, Charmander was showing off some insane power, even for a Pokemon.

Facing off against a rock and a poison type, he didn't look to be at disadvantage at all. Contrary to that, Charmander was battling like he was playing around with kids.

What was more weird was the heat coming from him. Soros's back was not only drenched due to nervousness, it was also because of the heat coming from Charmander.

It had made the entire atmosphere inside the cave heated and it was just growing and growing.

"Charmander, grab Graveler's hands and use flame burst!"

Arthur said as he smirked, a feeling of excitement growing inside of him. It was not cause of the battle, but the uncontrollable fire energy that was oozing out of Charmander.

'They really are unlucky.'

He even felt slightly bad for the Team Rocket grunts as they had been simply too unlucky.

They had ambushed him when Charmander was just half a step away from evolution.

On the battlefield, Charmander didn't dodge the fists that were coming right at his skull.

Graveler's fists have a massive amount of power in them due to the weight of his body, but Charmander easily caught the two fists.

The eyes of the rock giant went wide seeing that, but before he could do anything, Charmander opened his mouth and unleashed a devastating stream of fire right at his face.

The stream of fire slammed Graveler into the walls, causing a slight crumbling of the earth and making Soros nearly fall on his back.

Graveler's rock skin melted a little from the attack and he fainted.

"Charmander, dragon tail to your left."

The flames around Charmander's tail intensified as his whole tail shined with the aura of the majestic dragons. His aura kept growing and growing.

The next moment, he jumped and thrust his tail towards Koffing who was like a cannonball. Dragon tail striked gyro ball and a collision happened in mid air, but the winner was already decided.

"Charrr!!"

Charmander screamed like a mad dragon and Koffing was blasted into a faraway corner, his blood splattering on the ground.

At this moment, Charmander wasn't aware of what was going on around him. He was just acting on his instincts and there was something inside of him that was screaming something.

'Evolve... Evolve... Become stronger...'

Those were the words that had struck his mind in the middle of the battle and Charmander had no way to fight them anymore.

"What the fuck is that Charmander??"

On the other hand, Soros couldn't help, but look in horror at the state of his Pokemon.

He had never seen a Pokemon this strong before and he was sure that the Charmander in front of him would even be able to beat the Ursaring that Edgar owned.

His eyes just shook looking at Charmander and at that moment, a sudden aura slammed him into the ground.

"What is..."

He tried to speak as he felt a surging pain in his head, but his eyes stopped as he looked at what was happening in front of him.

The reason why Soros was slammed into the ground wasn't because of an attack. It was just because he was standing too close to Charmander whose energy had reached his peak.

"It's happening! Finally!!"

Arthur swept the sweat from his forehead as he stared at his starter Pokemon, his heart beating faster and faster.

Scyther and Mankey, who had already defeated their opponents, were also looking at Charmander. They had also broken the cage that Murkrow was kept in.

Despite being poisoned and in a bad state, Murkrow was also focusing on Charmander. He had forgotten the pain in his body due to the mystical sight in front of him.

Their senses as Pokemon had already made them realise what was happening.

"Scyther!"

"Mankeyyy!"

"Murkrow!"

They all cheered for Charmander who had his eyes closed.

At that moment, Charmander suddenly felt his body changing. His pupils grew and his body started growing. A fire aura engulfed the whole cave and Arthur felt his skin getting a little burnt.

But he still focused his eyes on Charmander who looked to be in the middle of a fireball, his body becoming redder and redder.

Slowly, the nails on his hands and legs became sharper and they grew in length. His height increased and his eyes changed colour to blue.

The scales on his body became sturdier and stronger. They changed colours to dark red and a horn grew from the back of his head.

The fire on his tail intensified and soon became denser and calmer. The temperature inside his body rose to an unprecedented level.

"Charmeleonnnn!

After a while, a loud scream that created shockwaves through the air came out from Charmander who had now finally evolved into Charmeleon.
