Lyle asked, "Raizel, why do people like to hurt me?"

The question made Raizel pause and he sighed, gently caressing Lyle's hair in hopes the other would fall asleep.

Initially, he had seen the world in a more black and white manner. However, when the White Peak was destroyed and Lucas had travelled across Terra, his eyes had been more open to the complex and dark side of the world.

But he did not understand it properly. He had not understood the reason the people meant to care for you did just the opposite of that. 

"It was not your fault. You did nothing wrong." Raizel said in an impossibly gentle voice. 

"Not everyone wants to hurt you. Ren and Nathan like you and I, I would never hurt me. You would also meet many people, people who would touch your life like you have never imagined. Everything will be alright in the end." 

And those who hurt you, they would surely pay.
