Diana's P. O. V

Stephen was back to life, he was back to being his sarcastic geeky self again, not entirely geeky but still. He had a wide grin on the entire time I was there, which was a huge relief for me.

It bothered me to think that I'd meet a run down emotionally scarred guy, but he even seemed light hearted concerning the issue.

Mom arrived at the hospital and talked to Stephen's mom for a while outside, giving us room to talk. Stephen didn't seem to expect the flowers from anyone else other than me. Not even Sam.

Mom was on her best behavior around June and Stephen, when she heard he tried to end his life she went full therapist on him. She made me swear to call him every six hours of the day and send him gifts. Stephen had a miserable face when he heard this, one, I knew he hated calls. And two, he hated being the center of attention.

"Speaking of calls, why didn't you answer yours?."Mom asked staring directly at me steering the conversation away from Stephen.
