Monolith - Gave

Arching its silver head, Arkanos released a feral growl that sent its draconic energy spiraling like that of a thousand sun. Bearing its fangs, in an attempt to mask the unease gripping its heart.

"It would seem your apprehension was for not; it's only the dragon, "Yu Jing plainly uttered, without concealing her scorn for the beast towering over us with alert eyes.

"You are quite blunt. For a princess, where is the elegance you walk with?" I reprimanded, "At least pretend for those around you."

Crossing her arms, Yu Jing snorted, "For whom? I did not ask to be from royalty, but I will speak how I please. Screw everything else; this Princess will not lower herself to conform to what society deems of me!"

Ignoring the both of us, Lilith stepped forward towards the dragon, who seemed slightly fearful of our appearance, "Little one, " She called out within a voice of that of a mother, "Where is your family?"

Flashing its silver teeth, Arkanos voice boomed into the air, "BACK AWAY!!"

Sending spiral winds throughout space, a sea of darkness flooded the storm around me, protecting me from unnecessary danger.

Standing untouched by the spiral winds, Lilith lifted her lips, "We have a deal for you, little Arkanos." She softly said, seemingly ignorant of the spiraling power rising from the dragon.

Spreading its wings that seemed longer than that of a plane, a trace of killing intent touched upon my heart. I was never one to honestly care who I killed.

Lilith was throwing an Olive branch, but I was different. Arkanos, in my mind, served no purpose aside from food and a good battle.

Crossing her arms with her blade still in hand, Lilith continued, " Do you truly wish to fight us? We only want for a blood sample, and you will no longer be hunted."

Opening its mouth, my eyes flashed, just like my body as I appeared just at the head of the dragon. Analyzing the shock with Arkanos's silver eye, a dark glow shimmered from the Spear of Noctem, as a hellish heat so terrifying the very land began to melt into lava exploded out.

"Attack, and you along with your soul will be locked in a state of hell for all eternity," I warned, in a smoldering tone, "Stand down,"

Closing its mouth immediately, the sounds of faint whimpering seemed to spring into our ears as the towering dragons suddenly transformed. Taking the form of a small girl about the age of seven, with long silver hair and reptile-like eyes that shimmered silver.

"Arkanos doesn't want to die!!!!" screamed the childlike dragon.

Withdrawing my power and intent from the air, I backed away, turning to Lilith, who glared, "Idiot, she is just like Ty! Why do you think I didn't attack her? She is just a baby."

"A job is a job!" Yu Jing heartlessly uttered, "Let us take her head and be done with our mission. It doesn't matter if she is a child or not. This is the job."

Lifting Arkanos up, Lilith ignored the rather heartless Princess. Studying Arkanos, who was silently whimpering large globs of tears, I turned to Yu Jing, curious as to what her expression would be. It was one thing to kill, a dragon, but in human form with the appearance of a child, could she genuinely remain so cold?

It was a little shocking, but Yu Jing's heart was as cold as her words. She honestly did not care, as even a contemptuous hue hung within her sights like a blade.

Poking her finger with a glint of sword qi, Lilith smiled as more tears seemed to flow from the little dragon. Filling a small vial with blood, she smiled, "All done, your free!"

"Auntie is not going to kill or eat me?" Said the Little dragon.

Giggling to herself, Lilith shook her head, "Of course not! We girls got to look out for each other. Why don't Auntie give you a little present."

"Really!"

Walking past the loving duo, I approached the stone monolith that was covered by Arkanos's enormous body. Studying the faint inscription that looked to have faded with the passage of time, my fingers skimmed over the rough granite stones.

Sensing a faint wisp of power hidden beneath its exterior, I pulled back. Not daring to probe deep in.

"Lily, are you done messing around?" I asked, turning back to my wife, pacifying the little dragon girl. "Can you reverse the age of this Monolith back a few million years or so? I sense a faint power hidden beneath, and I want to see what it means before we touch upon something we were not meant to."

Pouting cutely, Lilith sighed, "Can you not let me have some fun?" She complained in a soft mumble of her lips. Advancing towards me, her palms began to shimmer with a silver hue. Touching the stone Monolith, my eyes grew wide as I felt history itself begin to turn back.

It wasn't by much, but as the sands of time began to spin backward, I could feel the power hidden beneath the Monolith begin to surge to life.

Spiraling around the Monolith, I watched as the very stones that seemed to make up the Monolith began to fade into dust. Sprinkling beneath our feet, Lilith and I took a step back, marveling at the transformation taking place.

"Antie! this mountain belongs to my original ancestor!" The little dragon girl suddenly announced with a hint of forwarning, "That is why I came to the Kafiea Mountains to hide. I thought other Silver Dragons would be here."

Frowning at the strange power that had awakened due to Lilith's time manipulation, a strange obsidian Monolith soon appeared within our eyes, shimmering with a peculiar qi. It was real, yet somehow not, as if appearing to take up two different spaces simultaneously.

"Etherial Essense?" Lilith solemnly muttered, "How? That should be impossible?"

Stepping to our side, I could feel the overwhelming greed flowing from Yu Jing as she stared at the glistering Monolith.

"In remembrance of the Second Sin!" I read as blood immediately trickled from my nose at the words. Covering my mouth, I shivered in dread, only to continue against my better instinct, screaming to stop, "The day, the Sea of Chaos died."

"Who... who was your ancestor?" I weakly inquired, recalling a faint memory of a silver-headed man, with the numeral number of V imprinted on his mask.

"Her name was Tiamat."
