~~~(POV: Nathen Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Personal Ship, Hyperspace)~~~

"C'mon! You can't leave me on a cliffhanger like that! It's not fair! What happened next!? Did Satele and Caleb chase after you? Were you lost in the woods of Tython? Please tell me they sent the military in to help find you."

Nella is enjoying this way too much. It's nice, though. To share stories of my life and not be judged cruelly. The wonder in her eyes is proof she's an Opal.

"Listen, little cousin. The story I'm telling you isn't one you should be proud of. I was a reckless kid with way too much power. I didn't earn any of it, and therefore I didn't have any discipline."

That's one of the flaws I had growing up after my parents left me with the Jedi. Having so much raw power with no discipline in earning it. There were times I acted like a spoiled child or a fool with the gifts I have. Memories I wish to forget sometimes.

Forgetting what brought you to where you are doesn't help. It's a vicious cycle in my eyes. People stuck in those dark places can't find that light. Not for a long time. I was one of them.

"Well, that little piece of scum deserved it if you ask me. I'd have done the same thing if I were in your shoes. No one talks that way about the people I love. Jedi and their ways can suck it for all I care."

A unique way of looking at it. There is something to be learned from my failures. Things I can teach her that I never had anyone teach me. This is a perfect moment.

"You have strong convictions and good morals, Nella. Don't assume what I did was right. I killed people doing that... Innocent kids my age..."

That's the other side of the story. While the damage done to me was superficial. The damage I did to the lives in the Cafeteria that day was irreversible.

~~~(POV: Master Caleb)~~~
~~~(Location: Cafeteria, Jedi Temple, Tython)~~~

~~~(Time: 11 Years Ago)~~~
"What are we to do with him... He's killed 7 of his fellow initiates... The reports are saying he did this unprovoked..."
Satele stands next to me as one of the Masters speaks. We look at the devastated Cafeteria. Nathen wasn't unprovoked. We have all seen the recording. The Master's opinion is one that many of us don't share.
"Grandmaster, I recommend an immediate hunt and extermination of the rouge Force-Sensitive. It's the only way to assure the safety of the Jedi and our youngest students. The hope of our Order."
Master Gella Duro steps forward as she speaks, and it's not what I agree with in the slightest. Nathen needs to be here. This will only continue to happen if he doesn't learn to control his power. Worse, on a larger scale.
Satele lets a long sigh escape her lips, squinting her eyes at Master Duro. Speaking of killing a child isn't something most people do. But for a Jedi to do it is another problem altogether.
"Master Duro, let's say your plan is what we try. How will we get close enough to Nathen? The Force protects him. It'll sense the intentions to harm him. Anyone that tries will be killed."
Grandmaster knows how to deal with the other Master better than I do. All I want to do is bring the boy back. Let him know that it's The Will of The Force this happened. Nothing can be done but learn and grow from this.
"Are the deaths of 7 young children not enough to stop this madness? That boy is not like the rest of us. Something is wrong with him. Different. He may look human, but we can see that he isn't."
The other Masters are starting to see the differences. How The Force interacts with Nathen as opposed to others.
"I'm the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, and it's my decision in the end. Nathen will be brought back unharmed. Master Caleb, I want you to be the one to find him."
Satele does spend time with Nathen more than anyone other than myself. But there are several reasons why I'm going, and she isn't. The most important of the reasons, she's already shown too much favoritism to Nathen. Any more, and it could lead to problems.
"Of course, Grandmaster. I'll start my search immediately. I don't know how long I'll be gone, but I'll be sure to bring him back."
Time to find Nathen.
