A Supposed-To-Be Rest Day

Saturday finally came. It would be a great time for Sakura to rest after a week of pushing herself to deal with the person she was avoiding the most. She could entirely feel her energy drained up to the last ounce.

One of the perks of being on top of the maid rankings inside La la land Cafe is that you could avail for the weekends off, and that's what she did. Weekends finally came, and Sakura has planned to spend most of it lying down on her bed to recharge her energy for the upcoming weekdays.

The clock on top of her side table says it is already 9 am, and yet Sakura is still dozing off in her sleep. Incredibly loud snores coming from her had entirely filled the four corners of her room, indicating that this poor girl has really overdone herself for the past few days.

Sakura was still enjoying her sleep when her phone that was also placed on the side table rang all of a sudden. She wasn't able to hear it at first, and after a few rings, the phone was silent once again. But it didn't take long before it rang for the second time.

"Darn it!" Sakura cursed under her breath when the phone has successfully wake her up this time. She was reluctant to pick it up at first and went back to sleep. But the caller on the other line was so persistent that immediately annoyed her.

Pissed with whoever it was, Sakura was forced to peel herself away from her bed and went to grab for the phone. An unregistered number is now flashing on her screen which made the girl's eyebrows drawn together in frustration. She only has a few numbers saved on her phone, and that merely belongs to her mother and father.

Almost reluctantly, Sakura swipes the phone to the right to answer the call.

"Hello?" Sakura tried to hide her annoyance in her tone.

"Hello ma'am. This is X&Y Furniture. We are now delivering your order that you placed last Monday. We already agreed yesterday night that we will deliver your order at 9 am, Saturday."

All the frustrations inside her have instantly vanished upon remembering that she did order from this online merchant. Her room lacks a study table, so she figured out to order one to fully concentrate on her studies.

Sakura goes to the kitchen to get herself a glass of water before she replies. "Oh yeah, I do remember ordering from you guys. Are you already near my location or what."

"We are already outside your house, ma'am. Just meet us here and we'll carry your order straight to your room."

Sakura can't help but spit the water out of her mouth once she heard about it. Goddamn it, she almost screamed at the top of her head. She is still in her PJ's and in her newly-awake form. How could she have agreed to the 9 am delivery time on Saturday?!

- SHORT FLASHBACK-

It was almost ten in the evening when Sakura had arrived at her apartment room. She was exhausted and all from dealing with Mori Ken for five days straight. Now she could feel her energy totally drained.

Sighing, she let her body fall off- face first, right towards her bed. The mattress on her bed is already thick from the furniture shop she has bought it from. Sakura continued to lie down in that position until she could hear her phone ringing from the pocket of her pants. She immediately put her right hand inside the pocket and fished the phone out of it.

"Hello?" A toneless greeting came out of Sakura's mouth as she nonchalantly answered the call. She could now feel her eyes drooping from the exhaustion.

She was too tired and drained for her to listen very carefully to what the caller is now saying. Without thinking about it much, she gave a quick answer, "Yes" so that the caller would leave her away as soon as possible.

"Okay ma'am. Please expect a delivery at 9 am tomorrow.. Have a great night."

And that ends their call, with Sakura not having any idea what it was all about.

- SHORT FLASHBACK ENDS-

Now that she suddenly recalls that unfateful incident, Sakura couldn't help but smack her forehead with her right palm. Who would have thought that they could still be open late at night?

Going back to the caller, she replies in a panicky tone, "A-alright. Just give me one moment and I'll meet you there."

Sakura hurriedly placed the phone on the empty kitchen counter without ending the call as she went for the sink and gave her face a quick splash. After that, she dashed towards her room, grabbed her casual clothes in her mini closet and changed right away. Seeing her in her Nezuko-printed pajamas outside would be the last thing she wanted to happen.

---

A few minutes after that embarrassing incident, the study table that Sakura purchased has successfully been placed near her bed on the right. She thanked the two men who brought the table inside her room before they left. Once they are finally gone, Sakura sits on the edge of her bed and stares at the table she purchased.

The table she purchased was painted white made of mahogany wood, with a height of 75 cm and a width of 100 cm. The best thing about this that made her decide on buying it is the mini bookshelf attached on the sides and a swivel chair that is paired with it so that she doesn't have to buy it separately.

But wait… a study table won't be complete without a desk lamp, right? Sakura had forgotten all about it, and now she has to visit an actual store on a Saturday morning.

Sakura rubs her chin as she thinks about it. And with a sudden glint in her chestnut eyes, she says so to herself, "Come to think of it, I also have to do some groceries today. Darn it."

It was then decided that after a quick breakfast, Sakura would go outside to go to the nearest mall to buy all the things that she needs.
