She stayed in her chambers, gaze transfixed onto the mirror. Her face was wet from the tears that kept flowing out.
She couldn't help it. Her heart ached for the little girl being tortured. Why were they so cruel to one of their own? She didn't understand.
If she had known that such was the girl's fate, she would have done better. It was too late already. There was nothing she could do.
The necklace was already with its owner. Her spell would only help make the girl's decision faster. If she wished for death, it would come to her quickly
If she wished to survive, she would survive albeit for a while. Regardless of how broken she looked, the witch wished that she would survive this.
She needed her to survive to feel better about herself. She felt it in her bones. She could have done much more for her but decided to play it safe.
