Beginning of his Reign

A/N: No I am not back yet, but I will release once a week a short story chapter of what happens during the time after Maximus crowning until the time he goes to Middle Earth, and they will be released once a week on Fridays

For the first five years after Maximus crowning as the first Emperor of Westeros and the Grand wedding of the Empresses' life in Westeros has been improving quite a lot.

Kings Landing which has kept its name is now no longer a place full of trash and homeless people, now after a year it is now a place that looks like a proper Roman city. The streets are clean and full of life, the people are happy, children are running around playing and going to school.

The buildings have been rebuilt and redesigned so that now it looks better. The smell of the city has changed from awful to a good smell and overall life was good.

That was what life would have been like if not for the Long winter, instead none of that was true since the only thing that Maximus did was to install a heating system into the houses of the people.

It was too cold to be building houses en masse and the people weren't motivated to do it, so Maximus had just used his mages to build houses for him. But he didn't rush them and even encouraged them to take their time since it would be a lot of work to rebuild the houses in the Capital.

In Essos the cities under the Roman Empire's rule are already prepared for the Winter that will hit some of them. Other cities like the ones in Slaver's Bay won't be touched by the Winter, but cities like Braavos and Pentos will be greatly affected by it.

For the first year of Maximus's rule it was not peaceful since he had to clean up the remnants of the Faith of the Seven and deal with the Iron Borne who had begun raiding the coastal cities near the Reach and the Former territory of the Westerlands which are now under Maximus's rule.

The first Imperial fleet was stationed in Kings Landing while the second fleet was stationed at Braavos, so Maximus sent the first imperial fleet, which would take 5 months to sail around the continent and reach the ironborn islands.

The Iron borne fleet consisted of nearly 1500 ships, all of which were not stronger or faster than the ships in the Imperial fleet. The Imperial fleet consisted of 500 ships which had various line class ships and even had 20 Man of War ships.

So the Iron borne fleet stood no chance once the fleet reached its target. But in the meantime, while the Imperial fleet sails around the continent, Maximus will station various groups of soldier's near the coast of cities armed with cannons that will shoot the Iron borne fleet when they come into view of the port.

The Iron borne plan was to draw out Maximus and force him to use his dragon's so that Euron Greyjoy can use the Horn that he claims can tame the dragon's and use them against the Emperor.

But Maximus didn't even need to move from his Throne, since he has many capable people that he can send to deal with this small matter.

While this was going on in Westeros, a new Khal of the Dothraki decided to venture into Imperial lands to loot a city, ignoring the fact that the other Khals call the Empire's land the Land of the Demon's.

And he will soon find out why it's called the land of the demon's as he makes his way to Mantarys.
