But Ghira didn't give up. He had people to lead who believed in him, he had his beautiful and sometimes playful wife to support, and he had his little kitten Blake to raise.

So Ghira stood as support for every faunus on Menagerie. Even Atlas or SDC, who liked to throw sticks under his feet, didn't waver his vision of better tomorrow.

And how glad he is that he didn't give up!

Now, now once, a town that looked like tropical paradise but was inside the dying tomb was transformed into a lively city full of life and happiness, even now he could see numerous construction sites in the middle of building new marvels that would surely improve the life of his people.

And all of it thanks to one boy...

Ghira said to himself as he thought about the boy he first met in business dealing, a boy who with his family wormed his way to his and his family's hearts without much problem.

Even now, Ghira knew that his daughter, who always wished to follow in his footsteps in improving faunus standing in the bigger world, changed her mind.

Blake, his little kitten, didn't give up upon improving faunus rights, no. His little kitten one day came to his office and completely ignored the fact that he was in the middle of meeting with his advisors and proclaimed that she no longer cared about how humans saw them.

His little kitten said that she would no longer try to change humans' views. She would instead improve the faunus themselves, how? she didn't know, but she said that her lord would know.

Once she said it, Ghira knew who changed her views, as there was just one boy his little kitten liked to call her lord.

Curse his wife Kali for her forgetfulness to hide her smut books about lords and ninjas!

Still, Ghira then asked what Aegis said to her for her to change so suddenly.

"My lord asked me why I should care what humans think about us? Just because we were born differently, they judge us? No, my lord said I shouldn't care about these narrow-minded people and rather look at the bigger picture!"

Blake did take a deep breath and continued as even his advisors looked interested in what the Schnee said.

"My lord said that there are some numbers of humans and faunus, that why just humans have better things, and we don't? Lord said I must first change my people, and we don't have plumbing in town? Build it! Lord said he would gladly support us in proving themselves! As long as we follow him, we would be the same as humans!"

Blake said, and Ghira winced as his advisors exchanged worried looks.

They could see that what Aegis Schnee wanted was for them to be in debt to him, with for Ghira was not a problem as he knew the boy and knew that as long as they follow the beforehand accepted terms, he would fulfill his side of the contract.

But it seemed his little kitten was too young to see how Aegis was making them more and more in-debt, and rather than as he said they would build their own future, he would act as guiding hand for them.

At the start of their mutually beneficial relationship between Kuo Kuana and the new head of SDC, there were many grumblings with some more radical elements that tried to sabotage their progress.

In the end, it calmed down once they saw that Schnee did follow his promise and gave them material for the improvement of their life. It started with food, then building materials, and then he began to send his people who instructed Kuo Kuana residents how to build more effectively, and in the end, once residents of Kuo Kuana saw that Schnee had their well being in his mind, they accepted his Bastion droids that secured and cleared all Menagerie key points without loss of life of any faunus guards.

Now his city, Kuo Kuana, is a proper city that is the first city to be running on clean energy, be it wind, sun, or water.

Kuo Kuana is even second power to have a proper standing military as the disbanded White fang changed into Menagerie military, and with SDC support, their army could contest with Atlas, even if they didn't have Airships, they have a flotilla of ships that would shred Airships with AA systems.

On one side of the city was a seaport that was upgraded and redesigned to house an entire fleet of ships, and the other part of the city was a private airport of SDC protected by SPCS that was mainly from faunus members as not to make others worried.

Truly, once wooden huts are now brick buildings, once dirt roads were now from concentrate, once a desert devoid of life was transformed into artificial greenhouses that could feed entire Kuo Kuana without a problem.

Ghira knew that this is all thanks to the boy. Aegis was truly like a godsend to him and his people. Still, that didn't change the fact that no matter how grateful Ghira is, he wished to STRANGLE THE BOY THAT HAD TAKEN HIS DAUGHTERS HEART!!!

Ghira let out a grinding sound of his teeth as he thought of his daughter what was now visiting the Schnee family.

"Honey, it's Blake again? you know that you can't change the fact the one day she would marry, and I think Aegis is hundred percent better than her last crush."

Kali said as she came to her husband's back to hug him.

Ghira took a deep breath and calmed himself as he thought about what his wife said and couldn't help but agree no matter how he wished not to.

His daughter is too young to think about boys!

"Yes, better Aegis than that devil child Adam."

Ghira said with a sigh, and he knew it was the truth as once Adam Taurus showed his true colors and attacked him and Sienna, all the love and fantasies Blake had for making him better evaporated as Blake could never forgive someone who harmed her dad Ghira or aunty Sienna...

Kali said as she started to retreat back into their lovely house.

"Our kitten is away, so I think it is time for another kitten to be made."

Kali said with a wink as her hips started to sway in enticing ways.

Ghira said with a gulp as he watched his wife, who, even after years, didn't lose any beauty. No, it's like the years made her more beautiful.

Ghira threw his city a last look and made his way inside as he prepared himself for a long ride as his dear wife had a very big endurance.

And maybe her smut books weren't so bad. After all, their foreplays are very interesting from the time Kali started using her book's ideas.
