Beach dreams

It took the entire evening and then some more for Eve to locate the reason for Beistand's freeze for sure. It turned out to be both awfully similar to many other errors Eve had met in computing devices, and at the same time terribly human-like.

After reading through the debug logs and listening to Beistand's explanation, Eve found out that he froze like he did, to the point that he didn't even realise a passage of time, because of his guilt. It was so human that it was too much human. Especially when Eve didn't plan for anything like this to happen.

She expected possibility of indecisions, and, foreseeing them, prepared a mechanism to push Beistand to action if he ever stuck facing a choice or another. A simple random number generator would pick for him—a digital analogue of throwing a coin to decide something.
