Prologue

Amidst the roaring thunder accompanied by the high waves of the seas, with the fiery wind leaving none unmoved. There hovered a man in the air, his long blonde hair fluttered fiercely, still, it maintained its elegance. His eyes, unmatched like any other, colored with those of the divine, stared defiantly at the burning figure, made of molten rock, beneath him. "Sargeras!" The man shouted with great anger, along with his bulging eyes, and clenched jaw.

"How dare you look down on me, mortal!" Sargeras spoke in a voice unheard in many years, the screeching tone could deafen a man. The fire that burned his figure intensified, and he did a motion whereas a wave of fire flowed out of his hands, aimed at the blonde-haired man, he roared. "You shall meet your end in my hands, mortal!"

The fire engulfed the man, yet he was unaffected by the sea of fire spreading around him. He sneered and laughed arrogantly at such a sight. "Is this all your avatar can do?" With a wave of his hand, thunder roared and the fire dissipated in an instant. It was his turn. A turn to inflict damage and remove such harrowing presence in the world, his mere existence is a blight to this world. A poison that none but only the brave, and the strong could dare to remove. Sargeras, a titan that lived since primordial times, a being that commanded the lives of uncountable existences, mortal lives are nothing but ants in their eyes, and they, the lords of the universe, held accountable for its order. Yet, every being cannot resist a plague, known to all as corruption. He was a glorified titan, guardian, and protector of all. He was their champion but now, he is nothing of his former self, bringing forth countless destruction to worlds he once swore to protect.

"You are unwelcomed in Azeroth, fiend!" The blonde-haired man channeled his mana in both his hands and from the dark clouds came down the lightning bolts, dyed with an unusual color of gold, swiftly forming onto his palms. The lightning continued to expand into unimaginable volume.

Sargeras readied himself, prepared to effortlessly deflect the attack which he deemed weak. It was his arrogance and his belief that his kind —with unchallenged authority— are invincible. But facts proved fatal than belief when the blonde-haired man did a throwing motion, like Zeus of old, towards Sargeras. His momentum, unchallenged. Golden lightning flickering rampantly flew towards Sargeras in an instant, damaging his avatar the moment it collided against him. From a small crack on his chest into an unimaginable degree of damage. Surely, his belief was old like his presence, the present proved him wrong. And with disbelief, he said loudly while his avatar slowly disintegrated into nothing. "You will regret going against me, Stormsong! I shall not forget your name and bring your demise in years to —" His voice left off an eerie feeling, horrifying to every listener, for one marked by a titan, is bound to die.

Such a scene was cut short, by the sudden awakening of a middle-aged man, sweat trickled down from his forehead, and his expression fraught with fear. "Light guide me, what does this vision imply…"

Alonsus Faol pondered over the dream he had seen, that burning figure brought terror upon his very soul, and that man. That man with golden hair, with strength second to none, sheer power exuding out of his vibrant and towering figure. Alonsus' eyes shimmered in gold, he muttered. "Stormsong, the prophesied child." He walked at the windowsill and stared at the skies, the sun was about to rise and will slowly illuminate the world that was once covered with darkness. The tranquil state of the natural world brought forth peace to the fear-driven thoughts of Alonsus. He, who had reached his fortieth year, never shedding tears since devoting his whole life to the light, had once more, shed the tears that he had forgotten. 'Thank the light for the world was not forsaken, it had chosen me to guide the savior away from the machinations of that vile existence.' He prayed piously. "Light, entrust your servant where the protector is born, and I, your loyal servant, will ensure that he will grow into one who abides by chivalry and order."

His belief was proven as a gust of strong wind, opened the windows, and passed by his ears. The echoes of the wind whispered in his ears. "From a nation where the sea surrounded all, comes the birth of a scion, within him is both the blood of the sages that controls the tides and the kings that once ruled all of man."

However, it was not only Alonsus who had the privileged to see this dream. Unlike him who has not yet begun his travel, a raven had already soared through the sky from the highest point of a tower. From a citadel called Karazhan. Reflected in the raven's brown eyes, a gigantic figure, its head burning with a pair of horns extending from its forehead. The figure, Sargeras, laughed and seemed to speak words that only the raven could hear.

In a place far west called the Dreamgrove, stood a creature with four long, slender legs. Her lower body, akin to the fawns in the woodland located around the lands of the elves, or night elves so they say. However, her upper body resembles the night elves, her skin dyed with a subtle shade of purple. She has long, thin and tapered ears that for some reason, compliments well with her looks. Though peculiar her body may be, her collective form ensemble a peculiar aesthetic beauty. She resembles the beauty of the moon at the finest hour of the night, her eyes were like the lake when shined beneath the moonlight, serene and perfect. She seemed to mutter a few words while staring at the skies that encompassed all. Lunara — her name, bestowed upon her by her father, in honor of her grandmother, Elune, the moon goddess. She bent her knees, laying gently on the ground, and said. "I shall welcome the boy in your stead, grandmother."

In where she lay, the moon seems jubilant at her words, and it illuminated its light to her location, attracting the envy of her sisters around her. One even playfully scorned in her thoughts, 'If only I was to be the first to be born, maybe I'd get the same treatment.'

Flowers bloomed around the ground affected by the light, and Lunara lay there conversing with her grandmother for a few more moments. Soon, Lunara stood and her eyes held resolution, bound by her duty to enact the wishes of her grandmother. She turned her eyes towards one of her sisters and ordered. "Seraphine, tell the elves to prepare the ship Moonspray. I am under the orders of our grandmother to sail east."

"Understood, sister. Will you need me to accompany you on this journey?" Replied Seraphine, she had a tinge of expectation when she brought forth the question.

Lunara sighed at her sister's words, she knew that her other sisters would pester her if she were to accept but having Seraphine's company seems to be an idea, too great to be refused since it would be lonesome traveling without a companion. Indeed, she nodded, and her sisters reacted like she assumed they would. Their excitement, however, was cut short with her words. "I could only bring Seraphine in this journey, I'm sorry sisters but it is what grandmother wills."

Unlike her rejected sisters, Seraphine was filled with joy, 'I can finally go somewhere else.' it's been centuries since she had last left the grove, and the forests surrounding it. Her eagerness to go to the village where the ship they'll use to sail is docked, made her hooves smack against the ground. "I'll send an elf to call for you once everything is prepared, sister." She said before trodding off.

Unaware of what was to come, a human woman, Elaine, with bright blonde hair, lay comfortably on a king-sized bed. Her face turns unsightly every time she moves for even a few inches, the cause was her bulging stomach, harboring a child between her and her beloved husband. She turned her head on the side and in the reflection of her bright blue eyes, was a man lovingly staring at her. The man, Cirias, formally known as Lord Stormsong, her husband whom she married out of love. He exudes a kind, yet formal air, his body was fairly bulky unlike his contemporaries, the tidesages who were most notable for their thin bodies. Though it was to Elaine's preference that her husband's body fits his image, a strong leader. Cirias is not only a tidesage but is also the one who leads all of them, for the Stromsong household is one of the four noble houses that rule their nation.

"Don't move too much, Elaine, it might prove fatal for the child if you do," Cirias advised, his tone held care not only for his wife but also for his unborn child.

Elaine assured him with a smile, and she spoke. "You worry too much, dear. I ha—"

"How could I not worry too much? The physician said that your labor would prove difficult." Cirias interjected, he frowned at the thought of his wife's nonchalance. He muttered. "I could never think of losing you nor our child…"

His muttering may be too small to be heard by a normal person, Elaine, however, is one whose senses have been honed during her teenage years, a sweet chuckle came out of her. "Oh dear, you're the sweetest man a lady could dream of." She continued. "How I wish to hug and shower you with kisses."

"There will be time for such things after our precious child is born," Cirias leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers, they did not continue further for such stimulation may lead to unrestrained actions that may prove fatal, especially for a pregnant woman in her final months.

Their sweet moment was further cut, when a light knock rang from the door, to which Cirias answered. "Come in."

An old man in a black suit entered the room, he apologized first for interrupting the couple's moment before proceeding to state his report. "My lord, madam, Lord Anduin Lothar has just arrived and awaits you in the foyer."

"Is that so? It truly is typical of my father to arrive unannounced. At the very least, he could have sent a letter first after arriving in Boralus." Elaine complained, she puffed her cheeks like a spoiled child.

Cirias laughed at his wife's expression, he caressed her hair and said. "I will tend to lord father now. Do have your rest first and we'll have a luncheon at night together as a family, my love." It could be said that Cirias has an amicable relationship with his father-in-law, a spectator could even hail them as drinking buddies when seen together during a feast. Elaine nodded and rested her eyes, while Cirias followed the old man to meet Anduin Lothar, that is, after calling a maid to be on standby to serve Elaine's needs.
