Chapter 10: Family Dinners

"Well while we wait we need to have that meeting Candy." Jake stated gesturing to the living room.

" I don't know why we have to have a meeting Jake." I stated walking to the living room.

"Because I say so." He smiled.

All of us walked into the living room and sat down while Jake stood in the middle of everyone.

"Now we may begin." Jake smiled.

"So what's all this about?" I asked crossing my arms.

"We all know how we all took turns sleeping on Candice after our shift right?" He asked.

We all shook our heads in agreement.

"Well I vote that when Candice is here at the pack house she is our personal pillow." He smiled.

"Uh I don't think so." I laughed.

"See and we could all take turns especially after patrol shifts, we can schedule our shifts that so Candice gets first shift and then after our shifts and we relive one another we can come back to the pack house and sleep on Candice." He explained.

"I mean I like this idea." Embry giggled.

"Me to." Jared added.

"I mean shoot I'm in." Paul smirked.

"Yeah no I do not choose to be your guy's personal pillow, it's not fair what about me after my shifts I can't move when you guys are lached to my legs like leeches." I stated.

"Who would be first shift so that means while all of us are out you basically get the couch to yourself until one of us wake you up so we can take our nap." He smiled.

"You guys are insane, how did me letting Seth sleep on my lao to everyone sleeping on my lap and on my thigh." I sighed.

"Hey it's not our fault your comfy." Embry added.

"How about this, everyday I come to the pack house one of you gets the whole day to lay on me until I leave that's more reasonable." I reasoned.

"Ok so which day would I get?" Paul smirked.

"You don't get any day." I smirked back.

"That is not fair they all get a day." He whined.

"Fine if your nice to everyone this week and don't lose your temper or catch an attitude with me or anyone then you can have Fridays." I reasoned.

"Hey that's even more not fair you should know as well as anyone I can't help my temper." He argued.

"Fine Paul me and you can work out something later." I reasoned.

"Oh later." He smirked and licked his lips.

"Not like that you perv." I snapped.

We all laughed and then Jake spoke up again.

"I get Mondays, Embry gets Tuesdays, Jared gets Thursdays-" He spoke until I stopped him.

"And Seth gets anytime or day he wants because I say so." I smiled.

"Yes." Seth smiled and threw his hands in the air.

"That's not fair." Jake mumbled.

"It is fair because Seth is my little man and you guys are brats." I smiled.

"We are not." Jared defended.

"Yes you guys are." I laughed.

They all rolled their eyes.

"Well then you and Paul are working out some deal later and today is Sunday so we start tomorrow." Jake smiled.

"Wait I have a question what about weekends?" Embry asked.

"First comes first serves unless Candy says other wise." Jake smiled.

"Sounds good to me." I smiled.

"Dinners ready." Emily yelled from the kitchen.

We all ran to the kitchen to sit in our spots.

Emily had made hamburgers, fries, salad, and some chocolate chip muffins which were of course my favorite. We all loaded our plates and ate our food. We laughed and talked about our days and so on. When we finished our food we all ate chocolate muffins and I had like six of them because of how good they were. Then we all headed to the living room to watch Sunday night football.

Emily and Sam sat on a love seat which was technically meant for one person but Emily just laid on Sam. Then Jared, Jake and Embry sat on the other couch and then lastly I sat in the middle of Seth and Paul. Seth was laying on my lap while Paul laid his head on my shoulder and then I laid my head on top of his head. We watched all the games until about 7p.m. Jake had this bright idea to go outside and play football, all the guys went outside and I stayed with Emily because of how last time turned out when I played with the boys.

"So what's up with you and Paul?" Emily giggled.

"Nothing Paul is just being Paul." I laughed.

"You guys never look into each others eyes, why?" She asked.

"I don't know, something inside me tells me to but then another part of me tells me not to and that's what scared me." I admitted.

"He is scared of what might happen to you know." She turned to me and grabbed my hands.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"Because he has the same look you do when your around each other." She explained.

"Me and Paul w get along but we clash all the time." I sighed.

"I know but you guys have something special even though you guys don't know it yet." She smiled.

"Yeah ok whatever you say Em." I laughed.

We both laughed and waited for the guys to come back inside. After about 2 hours all the guys came inside and were all smelling and sweaty.

"Oh my gosh you guys stink." I laughed.

They all laughed and came to sit down.

"I don't think so you guys smell so bad." I laughed.

"Oh yeah." Paul smirked.

Then Paul picked me up straddled me on his torso and started rubbing all his sweat on my body and neck.

"Paul, gross let me go you nasty, smelly dog." I gaged.

"That's wolf to you missy." He laughed and continued to rub more sweat on my.

"Paul you nasty ass let me down." I laughed pushing his head away from my neck.

"Don't call me smelly then." He laughed and put me down.

"I'll do as I please." I smirked.

It was about 9p.m. now and I needed to go home because I had patrol at 8.

"Thank you Em for the dinner I loved it." I smiled getting up and hugging her.

"Eww you smell like Paul." She laughed.

"That's not a bad thing you know." Paul smirked and laughed.

I cringed and told Sam I would be here for patrol. Then I went to go hug the guys by and that I would see them tomorrow.

"Nope don't hug me I can smell Paul from where your standing." Embry laughed.

"Whatever, now who wants to at least hug me goodbye." I laughed.

"I will Bambi." Seth said getting up.

"Thanks little man the only real one here." I laughed hugging him.

"Yeah yeah whatever." Jake said while rolling his eyes.

I let Seth go and he cringed.

"What?" I asked.

"Yeah no more hugs when Paul puts his sweat on you it's disgusting the guys were right." He gaged and laughed.

"Paul see what you did." I laughed.

"Yeah I know and I don't feel bad one bit." He laughed while getting up to.

"And where are you going?" I asked.

"Home." He smiled.

I then said bye to everyone again and walked out. I knew Paul was right behind me cause I could still smell all his sweat.

"Are you going to walk with me or stalk me." I laughed.

"How did you know it was me?" He asked jogging up to my side.

"I can still smell your sweat, you forget I'm a wolf to." I giggled.

We walked in silence until I got to my house.

"So you wanna go on a run with me tomorrow?" He asked.

"Uh sure I guess I go about 6." I smiled.

"Ok I'll be here to pick you up and we can go." He smiled.

"Alright Lahote." I smiled and walked inside my house.

"How was dinner?" My mom asked.

"It was good we all had lots of fun." I smiled.

"Who is that smell cause it isn't your it smells like sweat from a boy." My dad cringed.

"Oh it's Paul Lahote, we were all playing and he rubbed all his sweat on me while after him and the guys played football." I explained.

"Yeah I can tell." He laughed.

"Well go shower because his sweat stinks." He laughed again.

"All right dad I will." I laughed and walked up stairs.

I went to my room and walked to my night stand to put all my jewelry away and then went to my bathroom. I showered all Paul's sweat off me and then just stood there for a while. I couldn't stop thinking about what Emily had said about a connection or whatever. I knew me and Paul would clash one day and ruin everything that's just how we were.

I finished my shower and grabbed my towels and dried off then went to my closet. I grabbed a sports bra and then put on some short shorts and went to my bed. I laid down and fell fast asleep.
