"It seems like you're always looking at something... Is there something in the clouds?"
Anna looked suspiciously along Mr. Luli's gaze toward the sky, and to make sure she was looking at the same spot as him, she moved closer to Mr. Luli's head and peered out the window.
Outside the window, a narrow patch of sky showed nothing but overcast clouds.
She was about to say something when she noticed Mr. Luli had stood up; she quickly moved back to avoid overlapping with him physically.
"Where are you going?"
Mr. Luli had not returned all night, and Anna had many questions to ask.
"I'm going to refill the oil lamp and, while I'm at it, buy your book," Mr. Luli said, dropping his rolled-up sleeves and walking to the door. He grasped the doorknob and gently exerted force; then he turned his head back and asked, "Do you need anything else brought back?"
"Nope."
Anna, floating behind the desk, waved her hand towards Mr. Luli.
