Unveiling Secrets

Yet again, Hisoka opened her eyes as a groan escaped her mouth. This was the second time she woke up after getting knocked out today, and it certainly wasn't an enjoyable experience.

Just like the previous time, she tried to circulate her chakra and to her surprise, she noticed that it actually worked and that she wasn't tied to a chair either and was instead laying on a comfortable couch.

"You can interpret it as a token of goodwill that I removed your restrains, but I hope you don't think for even a second that just because I didn't bother restraining you that you have even the slightest chance of getting away."

While Hisoka was pondering whether she should just try dashing for the exit with all she had, she heard Yuna's calm voice and immediately discarded the idea. She took a deep breath to calm herself down a little and took a look at where Yuna's voice originated from.

Luckily, Hisoka wasn't drinking anything right now, because if she was she would have definitely sprayed her drink all over the room.

Yuna was sitting on the couch opposite of the one she woke up on and had a relaxed smile on her face, while her arms were casually hooked around the shoulders of the two people sitting next to her. Hinata sat to her right, and Anko to her left, and both of them were looking at Hisoka with curiosity.

That kind of view would have already been enough to shock Hisoka, but what really surprised her was something else. A dog-sized fox with red, blue, and white fur was lazing around on Hinata's lap while its head was on Yuna's. It had a relaxed expression on its face, while Hinata was occasionally stroking its fur.

'No matter how I look at it, that's Kurama. What the hell happened to him? Why is he acting like a pet? What happened to his dignity and pride?'

As if he noticed that Hisoka was thinking something rude about him, Kurama lifted his head and glared at her, which caused her whole body to shiver.

'O-Okay, despite the small size, I probably shouldn't mess with him. That was quite a lot of pressure just now.'

While Hisoka was trying to wrap her head around the current situation, Yuna started speaking.

"Well, time to spill the beans, Hisoka. Why do you know Kurama's name, and why did you call Minato and Karin's names so casually while we were on the training ground?"

Hisoka was astonished when she realized that Yuna had been suspicious of her even before she slipped up by saying Kurama's name, but there were more important things to discuss right now, so she shoved the problem to the back of her head. She strained her back, made a serious expression, and started talking.

"While I am sleeping, I, occasionally, have dreams about the futu..."

*Boom*

A loud sound was heard as something extremely fast passed by Hisoka's head and smashed into the wall behind her. Hisoka glanced at the wall behind her and a shiver of fear went through her body when she saw that a small, perfectly round hole was punctured into the wall.

'What was that? I couldn't see it at all, and neither could I see anyone move. If that was aimed at my head, I would be dead right now.'

"I do not appreciate people lying to me, Hisoka. You'd better keep this warning in mind."

Hisoka trembled when she heard Yuna's voice that has grown colder. She had no idea how Yuna found out that she was lying instantly. Due to her stiff face, not even the elders of the Hyuga clan could see through her lies, so she really wondered how Yuna could do it seemingly without effort.

She considered trying another excuse, but seeing the glint in Yuna's eyes, she decided against it. She was already backed too far into a corner, so she decided to just go with the truth and see what will happen afterward.

"I have memories of my past life!"

Hinata and Anko opened their eyes wide in surprise when they heard that, while Yuna was only nodding her head in understanding. After pondering about Hisoka's answer for a while, however, she shook her head in denial.

"Although that was the truth, there is still more, isn't there? Just having memories of your past life, doesn't explain how you would know Kurama's name, after all."

Hisoka almost clicked her tongue in annoyance when Yuna easily saw through her diversion but managed to suppress it in time. If she just had to tell them that she had memories from her previous life, she wouldn't worry too much about their reactions, but saying that she actually watched a show that had all of them in it was a completely different matter. Well, all of them except for Yuna, who Hisoka still suspected to have similar circumstances to her.

In the end, she simply decided to stop worrying about it. She had already accepted that it was not likely that she could get out of here without telling her real story.

"Additionally, there was an anime...errr...a TV series in my previous life that was called "Naruto", which was very similar to this world. I don't think I have to mention who the main character of that series was, do I?"

Hinata, Anko, and Kurama's jaws hit the floor when they heard what Hisoka just said. They instinctively looked at Yuna to get a confirmation whether what she just said was true or not, but considering Yuna didn't give her another warning, it was rather obvious that she was telling the truth.

Actually, even Yuna was surprised by what she just heard. Although she expected Hisoka to have some kind of external source of information, she certainly didn't expect that she had seen what events will happen in the future of this world. Truth be told, that didn't bother her too much, since whatever timeline she had seen, it certainly wasn't the current one, but what actually bothered her was something else.

'So Naruto is the "main character" of this world, huh. That's seriously pissing me off. This explains why Naruto has such a high encounter rate of ridiculous events and he even got an inheritance from birth. Good thing I rejected that crap or I might have become entangled in fate as well.'

'Worst of all, I am not yet at a level where I could simply crush Naruto's fate, but interfering shouldn't be too hard, especially since I have been doing so since Naruto was born. Guess I should get as much information out of Hisoka as I possibly can and make plans for the future. Since the timeline she is aware of, is different from this one, I shouldn't rely on her knowledge too much, but using it as a rough outline of the future should be fine.'

Yuna took a deep breath and pushed down her irritation. She glanced at Hinata and Anko and noticed that they were a bit shaken from what they just heard, while Kurama didn't seem to be too happy about it either. Hisoka, meanwhile, looked a little like someone who was about to be judged for their crimes.

"Very well, Hisoka. I am aware that there is still something else you are hiding, but I won't bother with that today. For now, you should go home and we can talk some more tomorrow. It is getting late, after all."

Hisoka's eyes widened when Yuna revealed that she knew that Hisoka was still hiding something, but she was even more surprised when Yuna told her that she can go home for now.

"You are allowing me to leave? Just like that?"

Yuna just shrugged her shoulders when she heard Hisoka's questions.

"Why wouldn't I? The only dangerous secret you managed to dig up is about Kurama, and even if you told someone about him, I am rather doubtful that anyone would believe you. And even IF someone were to believe you, I just need to deny everything and the discussion is over. If it is just your words against mine, it is obvious who holds more sway."

Hearing Yuna's argument, Hisoka could only smile wryly. A genin, fresh out of the academy, was accusing an elite jonin and head of a clan of a crime without the slightest evidence. Hisoka didn't need to think much about how that would end.

Hisoka took a deep breath to relax her strained nerves and stood up.

"See you tomorrow, Yuna-sensei."

Yuna nodded her head and let Hisoka leave for now. She didn't bother mentioning to her that she slipped some seals on her while she was knocked out. It was just a little safety precaution, after all.

Hisoka, meanwhile, couldn't believe she survived the encounter with Yuna. She was certain that the moment she accidentally said Kurama's name, it would result in her never leaving the Uzumaki compound again, but she surprisingly got out without a scratch on her body.

'Well, there are some mental scars, but they aren't too bad, I guess. Now that I think about it, what happened to Sai? Is he strapped into a torture device somewhere in the Uzumaki compound or did Yuna let him go as well? Oh well, guess I will find out tomorrow.'

Sai, meanwhile, was already back home and was laying on his bed while trying to sleep, but every time he closed his eyes, he got the illusion of hands appearing out of nowhere and dragging him into the darkness.

So, the only one of Yuna's three genins that survived their first day without getting any mental scars, was Karin, who was currently writhing around on her bed, while loud moans were constantly escaping her mouth.
