-------------------------------
As for Lyonel and Sansa, the two held each other's hands while looking at Edward and the others from the walls waiting for their landing. It seemed that Lyonel had heard what happened in the far North, and he was sure that his father would come to solve this problem.
Lyonel was a great thinker, and if not for his brother, Raymont, he would have shined the best among Edward's children. He had already guessed that what happened in the North had something to do with that thing annoying his father.
After the dragons landed on the ground, Edward and the group got down. They started walking to Lyonel and Sansa, who had got married for almost a year. Edward could see the swelling of Sansa's belly, and he was sure that she was already pregnant with his grandchildren.
When Edward arrived in front of them, everyone kneeled in front of him. It was the same thing that happened in Winterfell back then when Ned was alive. Edward could hear the people shouting 'Long live the Stormking..' here and there.
"Let's go in. We need to talk." Said Edward as he helped his daughter by law, Sansa, up while ignoring his son, Lyonel.
Ten minutes later, Edward and everyone were already in the Great Hall. Edward looked at everyone in the hall before speaking to Sansa.
"Sansa, you will take everyone living in the North down to the south until this war is over. Do you understand?" Said Edward as he looked at the pregnant girl in front of his eyes with a grave expression.
"Your Grace, but..." Sansa wanted to argue since it would be hard to convince the northern men to move south, let alone taking them all south.
"Those who stay in the North, I will kill them myself. It is better to burn their bodies rather than letting them join the army of the dead." Said Edward with a serious expression on his face terrifying everyone in the hall.
Many lords had already come to Winterfell after hearing the news about what happened in Hardhome and the Wall. They all wanted to find out what was happening and discuss a suitable solution.
But after hearing Edward's words, they knew that he would not accept a half answer, and those who would not obey would die with a dragon's breath or a quick death if they were lucky.
Although Sansa knew that Edward was saying that to frighten everyone and make them move their asses, she still found it a little excessive to threaten them like that. But since she knew the situation they were in, she did not bother to comment on Edward's words and nodded her head before speaking.
"Don't worry, your grace. I will see that done by myself." Said Sansa with a determined look on her face since she did not want anyone of her people to die a meaningless death. Although Sansa was not the real bitch Sansa Stark from the book, she became a lot smarter after staying in King's Landing and Storm's Eye.
"Just send maester, Luwin, to see this done. You are pregnant with my grandchild, and I want you out of the North right now." Said Edward with a smile as he looked at Sansa before looking at maester, Luwin, whom he saved from Theon long ago.
Luwin nodded his head to express that he would do it. As for Sansa, she also did the same with her head, although had a different thought in her mind.
Sansa did not intend to do what Edward said since she could not leave her people behind and leave them alone. She did not plan to escape Winterfell until she was sure that everyone in the North had already retreated south. If her people refused to escape, she would die with them.
"Wilyam, can you keep up? Your dragon is still much younger than your brother's." Said Edward as he turned to his son, whose dragon was much smaller in size than the others, after leaving the great hall. Edward only got his dragon after slaying House Frey with Arya, and it did not have the chance to grow big enough.
"Don't worry, father. I think I can support Stormshadow with this whip." Said Wilyam as he took out a whip, which was magically enchanted by the Shadowbinders and many sorcerers for Wilyam's use.
Edward hoped that his words were true, or Wilyam would die in this upcoming battle. But Edward did not have another choice since any firepower was required for the next war. Plus, Even if he wanted to leave Wilyam behind, the brat would go against his words and follow them anyway.
"Arya, stay here. It is going to be a dragons' war, so it is better if you waited for us here." Said Edward with a worried look as he looked at his other daughter by law, Arya, standing beside his son, Wilyam, from the start.
It seemed that Arya was considering Edward's words for some time before nodding her head. Edward did not know if she would listen to his words or she would still follow him anyway, but he did not have much time. After saying those words, Edward got on Bantāzma, who looked excited since 'he.' was looking for a good battle 'himself.'.
One hour later,
On the top of the Wall,
"Commander Mormont, we have received the king's words. He ordered us to retreat at this moment." Said Jon Snow, who had just received Edward's letter and barged into commander Mormont's room.
"Take it easy, Snow. Explain the situation first." Said Commander Jeor as he asked Grenn to ask everyone to gather.
"King Edward said that the Night King would attack the Wall next since the magic protecting the realm would no longer be of any use since he marked Bran who crossed the Wall." Said Jon Snow with a grave expression since he blamed himself for this one. When he saw his brother and his group about to get caught by the wights, he went with the Night's Watch to save him.
Jon's act was the trigger to the downfall of the Wall, and they all had to escape with their lives from this moment. But what could he do when he saw his brother about to die at the hands of those dead Wights? Could he behave as nothing happened and let his brother become a corpse like those things?
"Don't take it to your heart, Snow. Start preparing to evacuate right now." Said Jeor when he saw the self-blame in Jon's eyes. He did not blame him since Jeor sensed that this day was coming anyway. The Night King would have found another way to destroy the Wall with Bran or not.
