“Also, wouldn’t you guys have seen the wire hanging from something that you could use to support that?”

From the corner of my eye, I saw Mia’s eyes shoot open, leading me to think about what Urkstin just said. Pretty soon, my brain churned out an idea, although Mia took the initiative.

“Nishinzu and I saw a wire hanging from something.” She spoke, clearly and concisely, “It was hanging from the noose, dangling right above the body.”

“Ah, so that is where the other length of the line went, I see…” Liam explained to himself.

“Now I don’t know if what Natsumi is saying is correct, but it does seem to be at least slightly supported by the line on the rope.” Mia continued, “Although… the fishing line connected to the tree on the left of the entrance does seem to contradict the idea.”

“Well what other option is there for what coulda happened?” Poppy questioned.
