Xavier's POV

I sat on the grass, overlooking the lake before me as Emerald continued to play with my fingers. Emerald looked behind me and I followed her eyes to see Amelia approaching us, I smiled as she sat down beside me resting her head against my shoulder.

"Are you okay?" I asked and she nodded her eyes on emerald who was now playing with both our hands, giving each finger a dialogue of their own.

"It's time for dinner, Emerald let's wash your hands." I heard Mrs. Davidson say for behind us and Emerald giggled pulling herself into my lap.

"Xavier is going to do it." She said her hands on my shoulder steadying herself.

"I don't mind." I told her mother chuckling and Amelia smiled kissing my cheek.

"I'm going to help set the table." She informed me standing, walking away with her mother.

"You're going to have to show me to the bathroom." I told Emerald getting up and she giggled directing me upstairs into her room, that was Cinderella themed.
