C131 Training/Timeskip

Immediately, every single Slytherin in the room above the first year started running. They were used to this and didn't need to be told twice. Once the rest broke from their shock, Tom repeated himself.

"Are you deaf?! Let's go! Get to running!" Tom yelled and one by one the other students started running.

Soon, every Hogwarts student in the room was running laps around the room. Those of heftier proportions were trailing behind but tried their best none the less.

After the second lap, students started leaving the room. As soon as the first one threw in the towel, many started following along. They didn't come here to be ordered around, nor would they make a fool of themselves running in circles. None of them fully understanding the idea of physical exercise.

They were tired and sweaty for the first time in their lives and they didn't like it. With annoyed expressions, they left one after the other.

This was alright with Tom, as he had no wishes to train weak-willed people. He doesn't plan to make their training as intense and in-depth as his followers, but if they can't handle a few laps around the room, they aren't worth his time.

After the fourth lap, three-quarters of the students remained. No one was leaving anymore as everyone was focused on simply running around the room.

"Alright! Stop!" Tom calls and everyone ceases.

Most of the students stopped in their tracks and sat on the floor, relaxing their tired muscles. Others, like the overweight children, collapsed on the floor, heaving for air.

"We will start every meeting with a run like this. Does anyone in the room know why I have you running?" Tom asks and a muggle-born raises her hand. "Yes?"

"To build stamina and have a healthy body?" She says.

"Exactly! Many of you that were born in the wizarding world may not understand, but exercising our bodies is something crucial. Especially if you want to go into a physically demanding profession. If you want to be an Auror, exercise is something that could very well save your life one day. Imagine a killing curse being fired at you. You have no cover and you don't have your wand. How do you survive?" Tom asks and the same muggle-born girl answers.

"Dodging it!" She enthusiastically answers.

"Precisely, but if you aren't agile enough, you will get hit and you will die." Tom voices seriously.

Everyone in the room looks scared as many of them wanted to be Aurors. They wanted to fight dark lords and be the heroes of the wizarding world. Almost all of them have done zero exercises to prepare for that though.

"This is why we will be building up your bodies from now on. Before we even get into any types of magic lessons, you will all work hard on exercising until I see a good improvement." Tom explains. "You all have fifteen minutes to rest before we start another exercise."

Like that the self-defense club was created. Thanks to the people that left, the club became a bit easier to manage. The rest of the exercises were to help them build muscle. The normal pushups, sit-ups, and so on.

The year started unfolding as usual. Except for this year Tom was spread a bit thin. He had the normal Slytherin training in the morning, classes, the self-defense club, then he would work on his own training with Druella.

Speaking of his lovely girlfriend, Tom showed Druella the ROR. He barely has time to do anything this year, so he decided to combine his training and Druella time together.

She's been accompanying him to the ROR since the beginning of the year. When Tom first showed it to her, she was amazed at what the room could do.

She spent about an hour testing the room as Tom did. Stepping out over and over to change it out of curiosity.

Since Tom has been working on wandless magic, Druella wanted to practice it as well. They spent the majority of their time together practicing spells wandlessly in the ROR.

When they exhausted their magic reserves from all the practice, they would sleep in the ROR together on a plush king-sized bed.

Ever since the last few days of summer when Tom stayed with Druella, she found it lonely to sleep alone and Tom shared that sentiment, so they spent most of the nights at Hogwarts in the ROR together.

Other than school-related things, Tom has been receiving constant communications from his followers.

The meeting about kicking sentient creatures out of housing areas took place a week into school.

All of Tom's followers voted against it, which shocked many in the Wizengamot. They knew for sure that these Lords would happily vote to boot out those they thought below themselves.

What shocked them further was the argument they made about solving the problems rather than pushing it aside.

The idea of selling packaged blood for vampires was eye-opening to many. Also, Lord Prince announces his work on a potion to suppress a werewolf on their day of the month.

These ideas were hot topics for every member. Some agreeing wholeheartedly as they have always wished to help these people that were unjustly called creatures. They saw vampirism and the wolf curse as a sickness, which can be either treated, cured, or lived with under certain conditions.

Others not so much. They saw these creatures as dark monsters spreading their curses to those around them. Many of them fearing for themselves and their families, seeing these people as nothing but beasts in human skin.

Tom understood both sides of the argument, as not everyone is a good person. Whether you be a normal wizard or a vampire. There are always crazies in every group.

Tom's solution won't end the occasional vampire or werewolf attack, but it will severely cut them down to almost nothing.

The debate over how to proceed with these new ideas is still being argued in the Wizengamot months after Hogwarts started. A vote will happen sooner or later, but for that to happen a bill must be written up. Tom put Lord Black in charge of this, as he already has his hands full.
