"You tried to kill Chloe, I know that because I fought you off that night," I said without a single fear in my body.

"Oh, really? So you knew all along and yet you didn't inform the police? I wonder why, Miss Rosaline?" He smirked and leaned forward.

"Because I wanted to first prove to everyone what an asshole you are," I leaned in and gritted in his face.

His expression changed at once and his dark eyes became deadly as he glared at me.

Then in slow motion, I saw his fist move forward towards my face and at that moment, the whole world stopped moving.
