Previously on Avenging Angels
Rose comes down to the kitchen to get some water but meets someone else in the kitchen. She wakes Chris up to ask for his help.
THIRTY-EIGHT
As soon as Miss Helda's sleeping body slipped from my fingers, Chris caught her by her forearm before she could hit the ground with a thud.
I quickly picked the vase from the ground and we both hid behind the pillar as one of the room's doors opened.
Sarah came out from the room, putting on shorts and a spaghetti hand shirt, and yawned as she went down to the hall, probably to the bathroom with her messy blonde hair.
"Hm...Hot" Chris snickered and I hit his chest with a scowl.
"I let go for one second and you couldn't even hold on to her for that long" he rolled his eyes.
"Shut up, you were the one who abruptly dumped her on me which made me hit my toe and lose my balance" I snarled and grabbed her other arm.
"Oh, please!"
We kept on whispering and bickering till we reached her room at the end of the hall and I carefully opened the doorknob.
I peeked in slightly before I left the door ajar and dragged the snoring Miss Helda into her room with Chris.
"Oh Brother, what does this old hag eats that she's has the weight of an elephant?" I spat under my breath as we struggled to bring her into the room.
Once we finally reached her bed, we dropped her on it very unceremoniously and began panting like dogs that ran a mile or two.
"God, I'm exhausted!" I groaned and fell on the edge of the bed.
I took the time to look at Miss Helda's room.
It was quite plain and simple with the grey walls and limited space but she seemed to embellish it perfectly with old paintings, artifacts, and lots more vintage stuff.
Her bed was a twinned bed with grey and white covers, she had a small vanity table at the right corner of the room with a door that probably led to a small bathroom at the left corner.
Chris came over and sat with me. He brought my head to rest on his shoulders as he stroked my tangled hair.
"Thanks," I said quietly.
"For?" He asked.
"Helping me when you didn't have to"
"Angel, I would do anything for you. You just need to ask" even though I know that's not true, I still smiled at his sweet words.
"Now that we are done with the baggage, why don't we have some fun?" he chided and I looked up to meet his mischievous eyes.
"What do you mean?" I raised my eyebrows.
He didn't answer but instead, he took my hand, lifted me from the bed, and led me to a corner of the room.
"Chris?" I called but he acted as though he didn't hear me.
"What are you doing?" I frantically looked at Miss Helda who was still sound asleep and whispered.
He leaned on the wall and wrapped his hand around my waist with a smirk plastered on his lips as he drew me closer to him.
"Chris-" he used his index finger to shut me up and his blue eyes bored into my soul.
"I didn't have the chance to feel you today, we were interrupted. But now we're all alone, no distractions, no disturbance" he smiled while he rubbed my bottom lip with his index finger.
He slowly brought his head to my neck and nuzzled his nose down my collarbone while planting small kisses which made my entire body go on fire.
I gripped his shoulder as he performed his magic on my neck and he let out a soft groan.
He later brought his head up to stare at me with a grin on his wet lips.
"How come you always look so beautiful no matter what you wear?" he wondered out loud as he shamelessly ogled me from head to toe.
I bit my lips, feeling a little self-conscious with my baggy shirt and small shorts that swallowed me up and made me look like a sack of sweet potatoes my father used to bring from the farm.
"Hm...Angel feeling shy?" he teased and I shook my head.
To stop him from teasing me any further, I quickly use my lips to shut him up.
He stood still at first, shocked at the sudden action but later relaxed into my lips and accommodated his wet, soft lips to mine.
I being in dominance, started slowly, with tasting and licking his lips, and then gradually as I increased my pace, he tangled his hand on my hair and pushed me closer to his flush body.
With our body filed with fire, lust, and affection, we kissed passionately and totally forgot about our surroundings that we were indeed in Miss Helda's room while she snored all through the night.

The next morning, as usual, we maids are all in the kitchen, preparing breakfast and I was making Mr. Baldderwort's typical morning coffee.
I turned the hot liquid into his coffee mug which was on a tray and I took it upstairs as I hummed a light, joyful tone.
I laid the cup on the table after greeting Mr. Bladdwerwort whose face was stuffed inside today's newspaper and wearing a grey suit as usual.
I looked carefully at the headlines and saw 'THE TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FAMOUS BLADDERWORTS TURNS INTO A HUGE DISASTER' written on the front page with bold fonts.
I noticed Brad's distasteful look and was about to leave the veranda, barely able to hold my laugh when he called me back.
"Yes sir?" I answered with an innocent look whereas I was dying of laughter inside.
"Have a seat, Rosaline" I raised my eyebrows slightly as I tried to wonder when we got into the first name basis.
Nevertheless, I listened to him and went to sit on the chair across him with the tray in my hands.
"I heard of how you helped my daughter yesterday when she was in need" he started, without beating around the bush, and paused for me to answer.
"Yes," I gave him a short one.
"I appreciate your kindness towards my daughter. What you did yesterday, not everyone is capable of doing it"
"It's no problem, sir. I only did what I had to" I bowed my head.
"Still, I would like to reward you for it. Tell me, what would you like?" he crossed his legs and stared at me.
"Nothing, sir. I didn't do it for something in return, rather, I did it because of humanity"
"Are you sure you don't want anything from me? Money? Clothes? Jewelry?" he asked again and the urge to roll my eyes was imminent.
"Yes, I'm sure" I ascertained.
"That's remarkable of you. Who taught you that? To give without expecting anything back in return?" he tilted his head as his eyes bored into me, waiting for an answer.
"My father," I said in a clipped tone.
"Your father must have been a very good man" he mused.
"He was"
"You are free to go back to your duties" he dismissed and I stood up as though my ass was getting burned.
'I will show you how good of a man my father was when I get my revenge. Yesterday was just a taste of what we're capable of' I thought as I walked down the stairs.
As I entered the kitchen, I quickly moved to help Sarah with the cookie dough when Mrs. Scott said.
"Rosaline, Ma'am asked for you in the glass room"
I groaned and stomped out of the kitchen and as I was about leaving, Mrs. Hatchman slapped my butt and said.
"Straighten up, young lady!!"
I resisted giving her the middle finger as a response.
I turned left in the hall and made my way to the glass room. As I spotted the red petals of the roses through the glass, I let out a small smile.
Roses always have a way of bringing a smile to my face.
I opened the door and entered the haven of roses. The only sore spot was that the devil was inside, waiting for me.
"Good morning, Ma'am" I, being the good girl I was, greeted as I stepped in.
"Morning, Rosaline. Please, get me the scissors" she said and I handed it to her.
Avalor was putting on a simple floral gown that reached slightly above her ankle and accentuated her lean figure which was behind the apron.
Her brown, curly hair was safely tied unto a neat bun and small beads of sweat trickled down her forehead as she worked animatedly in the rose garden.
I also took my waterpot and started watering the flowers.
A few minutes of silence passed as we each worked on our flowers, lost in our world.
She didn't say anything and I didn't utter a word.
"Nobody, not to talk of a mere maid, have ever helped my daughter in such a situation" she crushed the silence and I continued my work as I listened to what she has called me for.
"What you did yesterday really touched my heart. Thank you for helping Regina"
I scoffed under my breath.
I never knew the devil-reincarnated had a heart.
"I did what I did yesterday not because I wanted to but because I had to. There's no need for all these acts of gratitude towards me" I turned to look at her to see her already starting at me.
"You are a really bright girl. Your parents must be lucky to have you as their daughter" she said with a wistful smile.
"The same parents you murdered?" I asked with scorn and she looked up at me with widened eyes.
