However, the demon insects did not halt completely.

The demon insects in the other areas of the main world continued absorbing death aura while searching for ley lines.

Lin Yuan learned about the dead world from Falling Rainbow.

First, Tower Canon extracted the death aura that had built up in the main world over the past billions of years and injected it into the ley lines to alter their states. They then used the dead world's roots to activate the death aura in the ley lines with the intention of enabling the dead world to consume and replace the main world's roots.
