Chapter 32: Sanctuary, Part 1

Jack knocked on the clear glass from his hydro tube. He wondered how long they had kept him in. It had been six months out on the surface this time and he was sure there must be a lot of sun damage and radiation to cleanse out of his system.

Ellie's face, magnified by the tube, suddenly popped into view. He could see her big toothy grin as she waved at him. She gestured a thumbs up. The water level in the tube slowly started to drop. Once it reached past his head, Jack took the breather out of his mouth. Cool air rushed in from above, creating a nice breeze that cooled and dried his skin. After the water drained completely, he turned around to face the locker room and grabbed a towel to dry off. After dressing, Jack walked around to the other side of the tubes to the lab.
