CHAPTER 11

"So he isn't going to leave me alone even after this? Is there any way he could physically harm Xavier and then take him?"

''No. He wouldn't do that. He can't be involved in the death of any soul he brings to heaven. But he will try to push Xavier over the edge. As the day of Xavier's suicide approaches, Azrail will mess with Xavier's head. You need to quickly change Xavier's mind before Azrail gets a hold of it."

Suddenly the situation manages to get even more messed up.

"Is there anything I can do to ward off Azrail and know if he is doing something to Xavier?"

"No, you can't do anything to keep him away. If you ever feel that Xavier is acting weird then Azrail has messed with him. You need to be really careful, Ophelia. Before you were just fighting Xavier's demons but now you are actually fighting with a real one."

"So Azrail's a demon? Isn't he the 'angel of death' ?"

"He is a hybrid of every evil creature you can think of. Let's just say that God wasn't in his best moods when he was making him. Please take care of yourself. He might even mess with your mind. He can control minds. Wait, take this necklace that Gabriel made for you. He is going to kill me when he finds out about this. If, by anyway, you think you can't handle the situation or you feel that you have been messed with, hold the pendant of this necklace and call out Gabriel. He will help you out."

My heart was beating so erratically that I thought it would come out.

"Ok Damon. I will do that."

I quickly clasp the necklace around my neck and give him a nod of confirmation.

"I think I will take my leave. Please take care of yourself and Xavier. I know this is hard but I know you will make it out alive along with Xavier."

And with that Damon disappeared into thin air and left me wondering if I was actually sacrificing my life for Xavier.

Azrail was behind Xavier. He couldn't physically hurt him but he will mess with his head. He might even try to harm me if it deems necessary for him.

I heard my mum's car pull up. I decided to hide the remote and go downstairs.

"How many times am I supposed to tell you to turn the TV off when it's not in use? Nothing's free nowadays, I hope you know that. Just because you don't have to pay for anything doesn't mean it's not expensive!"

I had completely forgotten about TV. I quickly apologized and walked towards the TV.

I turned around to ask her about her day but she was gone.

I looked into the fridge if there was anything to eat but my conversation with Damon made me lose my appetite.

I climbed upstairs back to my room. I took my books and planned to study for a little while. After studying for two hours straight, my head began to ache a little.

That's why I decided to take a nap to clear my head. My mind was spinning and I had to calm it down somehow.

I grab my blanket and lie down on my bed.

I closed my eyes and tried sleeping.
