XCVI. Forgiveness.

Vanilla sat on the grass and sliced up her pair of stockings, getting them humid from the water wetting her legs.

"Vanilla... about Cookie," Rowie asked.

"Ah, yes..." She deviated her stare. "Don't remind me of that."

"You were so mean," The pup complained. "You don't do that to a friend!"

"Rowie, she didn't want to give the objects!" Vanilla responded. "You know how important they are. What was I supposed to do? She could have broken them off!"

She finished with her stockings and grabbed her boots.

"That's no excuse, Vanilla," His brown eyes frowned. "You should have told her about everything when she asked."

"And why would I? You know, I think that it's for the best if all of that is kept saved as a secret." She checked out that there were no spiders inside her boots and began to put them on. "What if she told anybody?"
