Maddy fell back on her side of the bed she shared with Emma. She let out a long sigh, a sigh that could let the others around her know EXACTLY how she felt.

That last message with David really changed things. She kept repeating it in her mind, "By the way, you should call me "sir" more often, I like it".

She'd never felt this way about someone, as cheesy as it may sound, her heart felt like it was beating a mile a minute every time she saw a new text from David. She'd feel a pang in the chest, or a drop in her stomach, or even an incredulous looking smile forming on her face.

Emma looked up at Maddy and snickered before poking Olivia and Valerie.

"Whatcha dreamin' about Madds?" Emma asked.

"Your boyfrieeeeeenddd?" Valerie teased, elongating the whole word.

"Yes." Maddy replies with a long heave of joy and happiness.

Her answer took all three girls by surprise. They looked at each other, flabbergasted, to say the least and then turned back to Maddy. Olivia was the first to speak.

"Sorry, what?"

"You guys asked me who I was dreaming about, and I answered your question." Maddy calmly replied, still lying face-up on the soft queen size bed.

"Hold on. Are we talking about David or someone else. I'm confused." Valerie asks, looking from face to face to get any type of reaction.

Finally, Maddy stood herself up using only her elbows and she looked at her peers.

"We're talking about David fucking Dobrik, Valerie."

Maddy responded.

All at once, Valerie, Olivia, and Emma's mouths opened wide in shock. There was a moment of silence. The silence became eerie, so Maddy decided to break it.

"We just had a very interesting conversation," she smiled to herself and bit her lip, "and he called me beautiful, and cute and all that stuff."

After Maddy had finished, the three other girls were still in awe.

"It's 10 am and I already feel like I'm hallucinating. Is this real? Or are you joking to get back at us?" Valerie asked.

"It's real." Maddy answered with a giggle.

"NO FUCKING WAY." Emma exclaimed.

"Yes."

"WHAT?!"

"Yes."

"SERIOUSLY?!" Olivia questioned.

"Yes."

There was another long pause in the room while every girl was pacing around thinking whatever thoughts they had in their heads.

"Prove it." Olivia said at last.

"If you insist." Maddy shrugged, holding her messages between David and her out for the girls to see.

Everyone was quiet as they read the conversation. But when they were finished, Emma stood straight up and said, "My fellow peers. As I have stated before, David Julien Dobrik and Madeleine Rachel Riley will end up having a happily ever after ending. It seems to me, that this is where this is heading, so....I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO!"

Maddy broke out in laughter as Emma jumped on her and squeezed her in a huge bear hug.

"Okay, okay. But nothing major has even happened, so save your celebrations for when we get married." Maddy joked, making all the girls laugh.

And at that moment, Maddy realized that she was just where she should be. With her best friends on an amazing vacation, talking about the boy she was so smitten about, all while having a smile on her face.
