He could recall the answer he gave to his father and mothers words over and over again as they pushed for that very day he had told them NO", and in a resounding manner too. It wasn't as if he believed it was going to change anything or as if it was going to be of any difference, but he stated it out loud so they could at least desist from it, but sadly, it was exactly as he had thought they would act; against his wishes. 

Being forced into a marriage ceremony and a union he couldn't cope with was one thing, but choosing to carry it out on such large scale was another in entirety. News of his wedding had traveled around like wild fire, and it wasn't different from what he had thought would happen. Considering the amount of people his mother knew, and the amount who wanted to see things for themselves as well.
