Chapter 31

The game continued with Shiratorizawa still in the lead while upping the pacing. Karasuno held on and continued to push back.

The foundations of Daikis plan were finished but they were going to take advantage of it in the second round. This will have a profound effect in round 3 as the pressure can cause them to mess up.

The score was 21 to 20 in Shiratorizawa favor.

Daiki went up to serve. Shiratorizawa were on full alert as they knew about his serve. The whistle blew and Daiki threw the ball into the air.

He got the ball and blew right past the defence hitting the floor straight down the middle.

The court was silent. The audience was silent. No one spoke until someone let out a gasp. Cheers started to came out the mouths of the audience.

" Nice serve. " Tanaka said.

" Do it again. " Nishinoya said.

" Got it. " Daiki said.

" His serve got stronger. " Ushiwaka said.

" Yep. It's still one nasty serve. " Tendou said.

Daiki got ready to serve again. He smashed the ball to other side but Shiratorizawa libero managed to get the ball into the air.

However it wasn't perfect so the ball headed back to Karasunos side. Daichi got the ball and sent it to Suga. Suga then sent the ball to Tanaka who got substituted in for Nishinoya.

A blocker came but Tanaka saw it coming so he spiked the ball into the blockers hands for rebound.

Kurokawa got the ball and sent it to Suga. Suga got under the ball while the others got into position.

They then ran up at the same time for synchronised attack. As each of them jumped ready to spike Tendou was trying to guess where the ball will go.

This gave Suga enough time to send the ball to Tanaka who spiked the ball to ground.

Karasuno managed to take the lead.

Daiki served once again but it was recieved cleanly and went to Shirabu. He sent it to Ushiwaka. The blockers got ready and jumped but Ushiwaka held back.

As they fell he spiked the ball to the floor. The score was now tied.

The game became a back and forth rally between the teams before the set went to Shiratorizawa 29 to 27.

Both teams were pretty exhausted as they have it their all in this set.

Karasuno made sure they kept the audiences attention. They were shocked to see the so called flightless crows go neck and neck with Shiratorizawa.

Most of them kept saying it's because of luck while others disagree. Others so that Shiratorizawa arnt playing at full power.

As for the players themselves they are on the bench calming themselves and getting ready for the next set.

" We will use the plan in this set. " Daiki said.

Everyone else nodded on got there game faces on.

" Alright we will win this match and the after that. I want all of you to come back victorious. That's all. " Coach said.

" Yes sir. "

Tendou came back onto the court fully focused. He was still excited as playing against his friend was exellerating.

' Playing against is seriously the best. ' He thought. He looked towards Karasuno and saw Daiki fully focused as well. ' He's got that look in his eye. He wants to win. I'm getting excited. '

Daiki on the other hand was fully focused.

' The plan well be used. This match is rally fun. Let round 2 begin. '

The game continued with a bang. Shiratorizawa and Karasuno did not let up at all. They went full force at each other.

Shiratorizawa made use Ushiwaka and other tactics to get points. Karasuno made use of theirs as well but they kept blocking each other.

Each time they went for an attack the other team made sure to deny it making each round go on longer.

The match is now at 13 to 12 with Karasuno in the lead. They managed to get the jump on Shiratorizawa and stole the lead.

' Its time. ' Daiki thought. He looked at the team and they nodded getting the message.

The ball was in the air with the teams going back and forth. The ball was on Karasunos side after Nishinoya recieved Ushiwaka spike.

The ball went to Suga who set the ball to to Asahi. He ran up and jumped he spiked the ball in between two players getting the point.

The players looked at each other and stopped as they were going to collide. The ball went past them and hit the floor.

" Yeaaaahhhh... " Asahi yelled.

" Nice one. " Nishinoya yelled.

' They started. ' Tendou thought. He looked at Karasuno. ' The battle starts now. '
