Maya

Guests started arriving a few minutes ago, I saw each one of them making their ways to the front door. I was in the parlour upstairs, standing in front of the huge window that overlooked the outside. There was a soft Jazz music playing all over the house, I haven't seen any of them. But I knew Aria was downstairs greeting the guests.

I didn't want to attend the engagement party, it felt wrong with everything that was happening with Lorenzo. I was the other woman, soon they would be married and I didn't know if he would still expect me to be here.

I could see my reflection in the glass, I couldn't recognise her. Aria had done my makeup but it wasn't too heavy, the only dramatic thing was my winged liner and rep lips. She put my hair in a low bun but left some falling out. The black dress I was wearing clings to my body, the silt stopped on my thighs.
