Violence was normal

Juhua saw a small shadow dart around the corner. 

She lurched forward immediately, rushing over to grab it by the collar.

A high pitched yelp responded and Juhua was not pleased. She was not pleased at all! "What are you doing!? Did I not tell you to lay low?"

Xuxu flailed in her grasps, quickly putting a finger to his lips and telling her to shush.

Juhua could only look at the kid incredulously. 

"Please…I'll tell you later. I have something to show you…"

Xuxu made these big puppy dog eyes at her and Juhua sighed, feeling weak to the kid's inherent cuteness. She mumbled a quiet, "Fine…what is it?"

Xuxu shyly took her hand into his own and led her down the wooden bridge over the lily pond. 

He pointed toward the dark shadow of a tree in the distance, "Can you see it, jiejie?"

Juhua's eyes were better than Xuxu's so of course, she could see the shadowy outline of a person loitering about.
