Ethan was lucky the playground had been completely vacated before the kidnappers got here. If not, someone surely would have called the police by now and he would have to explain how he was capable of fighting off so many grown men on his own while still in high school.

It was too cold for anyone else to want to be outside today and there weren't a lot of young children living in this area anyway according to Cody. Their kids apparently didn't have many friends around here.

He snapped himself out of his irrelevant thoughts as his attackers approached again. It had taken them a minute to get up the play structure. Since he was so high up it wasn't terribly hard to keep knocking them off as they attempted to climb.

One of them fell off the structure completely and stayed down because it was a pretty long drop. That left only two people to fight.
