The next day I woke up extra early so I could skip the billions of questions from the other teens I had avoided and skip off to school early.
I dressed up in some nice clothes put all my stuff into my backpack and quickly went to head out the door. Only to be met with a smiling Jean.
"Good morning. Did you get everything you needed done settled?" I ask her.
"Yes I'll need to speak to principal darkholme at school though and I'll also be riding with you." She says with a smile.
"Well that's fine with me. Let's go before the others wake up and start asking me questions." I say quickly looking around.
She just giggles and follows me to the garage.
I slip into the drivers seat as she slides into the passengers side. With a roar the car fires up and I open the garage door with the opener Logan had given me. Just like that my stealth plan worked and I was happily on the road to school making a quick stop at the McDonald's for some McMuffins for breakfast.
After that we head off to school with plenty of time to spare. I park in a nice open spot a bit away from the doors. I always liked to park a bit farther away from other people's cars In places like Walmart or something. It's just a little quirk of mine.
The school didn't have many people at it yet. Jean happily led me towards the principles office.
Inside we were greeted by the receptionist who passed over some papers to Jean. Apparently she had decided to quite the sports teams she was on. Lacrosse, volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, basketball. Seriously how many fucking sports does she take?
"I was trying to earn my parents approval by being the perfect student they wanted." I hear her say in my mind. "They are highly religious and a very strict family. So I figured I could be a nice straight a student with great sports skills and date the local quarterback just to be the picture perfect golden girl. However I've realized that I really shouldn't give a damn about what they think. If they don't accept me as I am why should I have to jump through hoops to make them look good. Honestly being tired all the time from sports and not having enough time to myself is a hassle on top of studying so hard. It's not healthy."
That's for sure. My favorite sport in school was seeing how long I could sleep before getting caught by the teacher.
She chuckles at my inner thoughts.
"Mr.Steele the principal will see you now." The assistant says coming out of the principles office.
I get up and straighten out my jeans before walking inside.
There's a severe strict looking woman who would give mcgonnagal a run for her money. She wearing a proper suit dress and glasses and glaring at me also judging me to see if I'm some kind of threat.
The answer to that is yes I'm a threat. Years of memorizing people's habits and movements for her transformation ability as mystique instantly alerts her to what I am. Deadly.
Not much I can do about how my body moves automatically due to training.
She subtly moves to a more defensive position. I give her a feral grin before dropping my book bag and making her jump.
"I'm supposed to see you for my class schedule." I say with a kind smile in place.
At this point her heart is pounding and her body is telling her of danger. "Of course, this will be your class schedule and locker. I've called you in to give you a bit of a warning, I've had trouble with some of Charle's students around here and won't tolerate any nonsense."
"Oh of course I'll be on my best behavior." I quickly grab the papers making her go a bit more defensive for a second anticipating an attack.
"Well thank you for the warning you should also work a bit on that twitch you have. Maybe a bit less coffee?" I say with a smile before picking up my backpack and leaving the office making her sigh in relief.
Jean was waiting to show me around the school and to my locker. It's been so long since I've actually used a locker.
I have most of my stuff I'll need in a special binder I can carry around. At this point in time the school is slowly starting to fill up with people.
A voice calls out to Jean while we are heading to our first class. "Jean wait we need to talk!" It's a blond guys wearing a football jacket with buzz cut hair.
"There's nothing to talk about Duncan everything I said yesterday is final. Consider yourself dumped." Jean says quite loudly gathering the attention of others.
"But why? Did I do something?" He asks angrily.
"Where to start off? Your a bully, your highest grades are C at best, your constantly flirting around behind my back. You have zero prospects for a future besides being a football player. You are not even that good the best you could probably accomplish after high school is maybe playing a bit in college if you can get in and that's pushing it. Your pretty much just a joke." She says brutally.
Everyone is listening in shock at this point including the idiot Duncan.
"Oooh I don't think I've seen anything destroyed that bad. Good one." I compliment the red head.
She blushes slightly before replying. "Thank you. We should head off to class though and get the good seas." She says grabbing my arm and pulling me off to science class.
I feel another tougher hand grab my shoulder. "Who the hell are you and what are you doing with jean." It was Duncan not taking a hint.
I grabbed his hand and twisted it before a snapping sound rang out in the hall my other hand clamping over his face. "New student. Also I don't like to be touched so if you'd like to keep your mediocre football career I advise never do it again." I put my foot on the kneeling mans chest and give a push and he slides down the hallway gripping his arm in pain.
Then we continue on to class.
