chapter 26- strongest sworsman

"Zoro!" the Straw Hat crew yelled as Zoro received a slash from Mihawk right in the chest. "Relax, if Mihawk wanted to kill him he'd be dead a long time ago, and I'm not talking about Zoro", I said as I looked at Mihawk. Mihawk ignored my statement and started to go back to his boat. "It's still too early for you to die, go and find your true self, your true world. No matter how long it will take I will wait for you in the new world in my strongest form, so surpass me and take the title you so desperately want for yourself. I will wait for you RORONOA ZORO" Mihawk shouted Zoro's name at the end and by some miracle, Zoro stood up and announced "Luffy I'm fine, but I still have a lot more training to do until I become stronger than him", tears started to form in Zoro's eyes as he fought back the pain, "so please help me get stronger and until I defeat him I swear I won't lose again" as Zoro finished his speech he fell on the floor from exhaustion and started to sleep. Mihawk formed a satisfied smile at Zoro's words but then he stopped walking, "kid, are you the one training Zoro?" Mihawk asked me.

He must have seen the video by now so why does he address me as "kid"? I get it isn't the same when you watch it on a computer screen but I did put a good show on! What does it take to be acknowledged by these people... "Yea, why?" "Although Zoro is a master swordsman he isn't at the level where he can form a strong sword intent like he did in the fight, did you teach him that? if so I am curious about your swordsmanship abilities so before I go how about a fight between swordsmen?". this is interesting, I should do it. After all, it's my fault that Mihawk doesn't have Shanks as a sparring partner anymore so I should repay him. Maybe if I take his title he would have something to strive for instead of just drifting around on his raft. But the problem is that I practiced my swordsmanship for seven hundred years, give or take, I needed something to do as to not get bored so I mastered a couple of weapons, as a result, my swordsmanship is so far above Mihawk that I'll have to be careful not to hurt his pride too much.

"Sure", I said as I used my conquerors haki to pull a butter knife from the kitchen. Mihawk raised a brow as he pulled out his dagger, 'better let him know he should go all-out' I thought as I leaked some killing intent. Unlike my haki, even when I went back in time my killing intent didn't reseat since it's produced by the experience of the user and his will to harm his opponent. So my killing intent which was cultivated by hundreds of wars where I killed and lost countless people is strong enough to kill anyone in this world from shock alone, as a result, I have to be extremely careful when I use it.

Mihawk shivered as he sensed my killing intent and immediately took out his main weapon. "I'll give you the first move, so come at me before Zoro wakes up" if someone else were to say that to Mihawk he wouldn't take them seriously but after feeling that killing intent he knew he had to take any advantage he could get in this fight. *BOOM* a sonic boom erupted as Mihawk dashed towards me at full speed, I waited patiently for him to attack, which took him some time. I have to say for the world's strongest swordsman he is awfully slow. When Mihawk's sword was inches from my face I sidestepped him while using my knife to give him a cut on the cheek. Blood started to drip from his cut as he turned around in a flash and tried to pierce my abdomen, I jumped back a bit but Mihawk expected that and he sent a powerful sword intent attack from the edge of his sword.

"Not bad", I said as I stabbed at the sword intent to cancel in out. Mihawk continued his assault as he destroyed the wooden floor of his raft, and used air pressure to throw the wooden planks twards me to distract me and act as a smokescreen at the same time. I cut a wooden plank that flew towards me as I left an opening for Mihawk to bait him in. If I tried to fake and opening he would know since he has enough combat experience for that. Mihawk took the opportunity to aim his sword strike at the back of my neck but I knew he would strike there and I squatted down to avoid it, but Mihawk took into consideration that this was a trap and when I squatted he quickly spun in place to preserve the energy from his last strike as he pushed the blade down my head when he came around. Zoro started to move around so I knew I had to end this quickly before he woke up, as Mihawk's blade came down I leaned to the side to dodge it and swang my butter knife at him. Mihawk tried to block but I effortlessly chopped his word apart and but the knife to his neck.

"Do you surrender?" I asked as Mihawk's sword laid on the ground, divided in half. Mihawk smirked, "you have won the title for now but both me and Zoro will come to take from you" he said. "You can come and challenge me any time you want as long as I don't have to do something. Well, hanks is here so I think this is where we part ways for now". And so Mihawk left as I officially became the strongest swordsman in the world.
