EPISODE 163: Nature's Lullaby!

"Indigo look! Those flowers over there, they look familiar." Professor Bellice's attention was suddenly caught by a decaying pinkish-violet flower with two light green leaves on the side.

"Ah! It's been a long time since I've seen a flower like this!" Indigo beamed with joy and excitement. She went out of the cave and grabbed two samples of the decaying blossom.

Professor Indigo and Professor Bellice observed the two flowers. Its petals were dry and coated with a twilight coating. The stem was dark green and the beauty of the flower was slowly decaying.

"Isn't it odd that a specie of Gracidea flowers live amongst this island?" Indigo beamed with interest and enthusiasm while observing the dry flower.

"If there is a Gracidea flower here, could that mean that-"

"There must be a Shaymin living somewhere on this island." Professor Indigo interrupted and finished Bellice's statement.

"But... if the Gracidea flower is fading, then that means Shaymin is locked on its Sky forme!" Bellice concluded while observing the other Gracidea flower.

"Hmm... ah!?" Professor Indigo was suddenly interrupted by a flash of lightning passing beside the cave. Something ran across them, an electric type perhaps? Footsteps of a Pokemon with somewhat a paw could be seen outside the cave, as a small rusted knight helmet was thrown to the two professors.

"Hey, who threw this helmet!?" Professor Bellice infuriated and went outside the cave. She searched for any signs of nearby Pokemons but nothing could be seen except for the trees, grass, and the moon and her children. The night was quiet once more, as the breeze oozed and blew Professor Bellice's smooth hair.

"Could it be!? Could this helmet belong to one of Athena's knights during the contemporary period!?" Indigo wondered while observing the rusty helmet.

"If that is true, then the myth of Zeraora is true as well!" Professor Bellice ran back to the cave and shivered with fear. Zeraora has given them a dangerous warning, "Leave the aisle or you'll end up like one of those knights."

-----------------------------------------------------------------

On the far east of the island, lies Glade and Captain Smith. They were able to set up their camp by using available resources such as stones and sticks. An adult was there to take care of Glade, lucky him.

Large and wide leaves served as Glade and Captain Smith's blanket while a campfire helped them to keep their bodies warm from the cold and harsh wind.

"Sleep tight Vaporeon!" Captain Smith rubbed his Vaporeon's belly before going back to sleep. Glade on the other hand fell asleep beside his Luxray. Luxray and Glade have a strong bond between them, whatever happens, Luxray is always there to comfort and protect Glade.

<Swoosh!>Something ran fast! The wind blew through Captain Smith's hair as he turned his attention to the sudden phenomena.

"Eh!? It's probably just a fast-paced Pokemon trying to race with other Pokemons. Alright! Time to go to sleep." Captain Smith guessed and ignored the phenomena. He slept and curled near his Vaporeon.

On the far west however, lies me and Camellia, trying to heal the severely wounded Shaymin. From her looks, I could say that Shaymin was experiencing something tough. An experience which one must not surpass alone. Blood was oozing heavily through Shaymin's wounds. Camellia also suspects that Shaymin was having breathing difficulties.

"P... Please don't hurt me. Please don't hurt me." Shaymin spoke with a hoarse throat through telepathy.

"Shaymin, don't worry. We won't hurt you. You're safe with us!" I comforted and consoled the shivering Pokemon while Riolu gave Shaymin a small Oran Berry.

"Shaymin, your wounds may soar by a bit but I need to spray your wounds with a potion." I touched Shaymin's body, in hopes to comfort her scared body.

"Is that poison? A dart gun? Please don't hurt me! Please." Shaymin started to cry while trying her best to escape.

"No Shaymin, you have to rest. You can't wander off like that. This is a potion, it is used to heal wounds and scars." Before Shaymin tried to ran I grabbed her body and laid her on my lap. She was still shivering with fear, what could have caused Shaymin to shiver like this?

"It... It hurts." Shaymin screamed with pain while I slowly pressed the potion. Camellia was making a remedy that Zhery thought her during the times they were still friends.

"I know, this potion has chemicals that could burn your skin for only a few seconds or so. By a matter of minutes, you'll feel better in no time!" I smiled and comforted while tickling Shaymin's neck.

"Here Kalem. This is the remedy for Shaymin's wounds." Camellia hurried to me and handed me a small Tupperware containing the remedy. It was dark green, mixed with some Aguav and Citrus Berries.

"Thanks Camellia. Now Shaymin, I need you to open your mouth. It may taste bitter, but I promise, it's delicious."

Shaymin began to slowly trust me and Camellia. She shivered while trying to open her mouth. The feeble Shaymin was not strong enough to open her mouth widely. Only a small gap appeared.

I poured the remedy slowly by slowly while Camellia lifted Shaymin's head in order for her to swallow the remedy with ease. Shaymin had a hard time drinking the remedy due to her wound on her tonsils.

"There! See, it's all finished Shaymin! Now, I need you to take a rest." I instructed. I laid Shaymin on my white fluffy blanket. Camellia was kind to lend Shaymin her blanket as well. Her blanket served as a protection against the cold and harsh wind. Just by a matter of seconds, Shaymin stopped shivering as she produced small cute snoring sounds. A small bubble formed and popped on her nose, while she entered a sleepy slumber.

"Achoo! It's kinda cold today. No rain, just wind." Camellia shivered with coldness while rubbing her hands in front of the flower.

<Syl! Syl! Sylveon!>The Pokemon leaped out of her Pokemon and stayed beside Camellia. She tried to keep her trainer warm by hugging and curling around her trainer. Riolu did the same to me. He hugged me tightly and licked my face.

Pokemons truly prove to their trainers how powerful their affection is for them. In return for caring and bonding with them, Pokemons return the greatest gift of all, trust and comfort. During times of troubles and hardships like this, Pokemons will always be there to comfort you, they will not risk their trainer's life to be placed under dangerous or extreme circumstances.

Gardevoir proves my statement. To protect her trainer, Gardevoir would use all her Psychic Powers to create a small black hole. Pokemons truly are fascinating creatures. If only humanity treated them the way they treated us, who knows? Maybe the world could be a better place. A world filled with affection and trust.

A few moments later, all my other Pokemons came out. They cuddled me tightly and slept beside me. Camellia's Pokemons did the same as well. It was like they were proving to each other who cared the most for their trainers. A cold night was turned into a warm twilight, thanks to the affection of all our Pokemons. I and Camellia cared for our Pokemons, we wanted them to stay inside their Pokeball so that they would be safe from the weather, except for Riolu of course. Our Pokemons resisted to stay inside their Pokeballs. They kept us warm and fuzzy throughout the night.

The nocturnal birds began to chirp, the water from the sea elicited an elegant tune, while the rustling grass and the swaying trees added a touch of vibration. The cricket Pokemons began to hop, the yawns of sleepy Pokemons sounded, as the night became luminous. Every single sound produced one melody. The components of nature sang together and produced an orchestra that I'll never forget.

Sounds of nature are truly explicit. They lift our spirits, and bring joy to everyone's heart. What an amazing experience to hear the song sang by nature with our Pokemons. The melody, the rhythm, everything produced a relaxing symphony.

"A... Achoo!" Camellia sneezed while regretting to forget her jacket she left back on the hotel. Her Pokemons smiled at her and hugged her tightly to give her more warmth.

"Thank you everyone." Camellia smiled and hugged all of her Pokemons.

"Thank you, guys. Thanks for everything." I smiled as well while playing with my Pokemons. It was one of my most cherished moments, to sleep beside all of my Pokemons.

"Achoo! This weather keeps on getting worse." Camellia still shivered with coldness despite all of her Pokemon's efforts to keep her warm.

"You're not really used to the cold weather are you?" I giggled and laughed while my Pokemons slept beside me.

"Hehe... sorry, I usually prefer tropical places. I'm not great at handling cold nights."

"Well you better prepare, cause we're going to Glacevelt City next. It's a cold journey to the city."

"Oh that reminds me... I wonder why Glacevelt city is the most silent city."

"Most silent city? What do you mean?"

"I mean, I never heard a single report about anything happening on the city. It's like they are always in news blackout. Even the identity of the gym leader in Glacevelt city is unknown."

"Unknown!? That city seems suspicious."

"I know right, it is also protected with walls just like Aulmurus city.

Three cities are actually protected with walls, Aulmurus, Glacevelt, and Dracovolt city. Still, Glacevelt remains as one of the most suspicious cities in the world! Not just in the region, but in the entire world.

Aulmurus is on the left, Glacevelt is on the center, while Dracovolt is on the right. Three cities perfectly aligned, forming a straight line. Then, in the north of these three cities lies the mountain of the Alympus. The place where the Pokemon League will commence."

"Wait, isn't the lamp of Niurs also in the mountain?"

"Yes, but the question is, wherein the mountain of the Alympus is the lamp of Niurs. Legends say, that the person chosen by Niurs himself has the power to find the lamp."

"I was wondering if the emperor is the same with Hoopa, the one embedded on my mind."

"Is Hoopa talking to you? Have you felt anything? Any presence?"

"None so far. After the cavern, things went poof! The voice stopped calling me all of a sudden."

"I see. I think that Niurs and Hoopa are different from each other. That's my opinion though. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. Hopefully Hoopa is not Niurs."

"Why?"

"If Hoopa is Niurs, then that makes you the chosen one. If Niurs is released, then possible havoc could happen, that's if, the people are correct that Niurs has repented and was truly appointed as the messenger of the Gods. We cannot rely on gossips and facts. Hopefully Hoopa is not Niurs. The look at your face, when you were possessed by the unbound form? You looked scary, and menacing. I don't want to see that look in your face again."

"Certain Enemy..." I uttered softly while remembering my parent's purpose to upgrade the generation Pokemons.

"Certain Enemy? What do you mean?"

"Oh no... it's nothing. I just thought of something that's all."

"Oh. I... I... Achoo! Um, achoo!" Camellia's statement was suddenly interrupted by her sneeze.

"Here, my jacket is all dried up, you can wear it if you're feeling cold." I took my jacket which was drying up beside the fire. I offered my help to Camellia's chilling body.

"Ah... um, thank you Kalem."Camellia was left speechless and tight-lipped as she wore my jacket. Her cheeks suddenly blushed while trying to hide it from me.

"K... Kalem, is there anything wrong?" Gardevoir woke up and questioned.

"Nah, it's fine. I'm just checking up on Shaymin. She's feeling so much better now." I explained while rubbing her belly.

From there, the night turned old as the ninth symphony played. Everyone turned silent, may it be the streams, winds, or even the rustling grass. Mother Nature has put everyone to sleep thanks to her sweet lullaby.
