This Is Not Like You

Dygo tried to get through to her, "Vy, this… this isn't like you."

"This isn't like me?" she echoed his words, "Then what is like me? Forgive and forget? Oh trust me, I've tried, I've tried time and time again but some people just don't learn!"

Dygo shook his head, "There's good in everyone. Everyone can change."

Vy bit her lip. She could feel her heart aching in her chest. Maybe things would be better this way. Maybe he was right, everyone can change. 

"Maybe you're right. Everyone can change," Vy said with a mocking grin. 

"What… what are you trying to say?"

"Maybe we should spend some time apart. Since we're so different. We've become so different. Maybe it's best for us to take some time apart," Vy forced the words out of her mouth. 

She looked directly into his eyes, looking for a better solution. Dygo gritted his teeth. He refused to let this be their next step forward. Dygo shook his head as he took a step forward.
