2.10 High Stakes Battle in the Heavenly Punishment Arena

Somewhere else inside of the Divine Arena...

A swordsman danced around a shield warrior and struck his weak points over and over again while dodging his opponents blows. After a while, his opponent dropped onto the floor and both of the were teleported out of the arena.

The swordsman sighed as he had not found a good opponent to fight against on this game. He sheathed his single edged sword and was about to log off of the game when an alarm when off. I resounded throughout the entire play space and everyone was half frightened to death by it.

Before anyone could complain about it, a voice range out. "A battle has been issued at the Heavenly Punishment Arena from the Paradise Guild to the player BloodMoon. For any who would like to watch, please report the the Heavenly Punishment Arena spectating area."

People went silent at this point. Not for anyother reason but the person in question.

BloodMoon!

This was a person that everyone knows of at this point. Even though they know that it was partially luck for why she was so well known, with her skills in combat, it would only be a matter of time before she was known by all even if she didn't livestream.

The Paradise Guild was also a famous (well... in this case, infamous) guild that made wave recently by 'attacking' women in the wild. The development team have addressed them and are going to implement a fix for this by tomorrow. They just told any female players to stay off for the day while they work on it.

But why would BloodMoon and the Paradise Guild fight here? Everyone was very curious as to what happened and rushed to the arena's spectating area. The swordsman was also excited. Not because of the battle but because the person participating in it.

'I have decided. I will fight her!' His eyes filled with a strong intent to battle as he walked to the spectating area with anticipation.

He wasn't alone with his thoughts. Alot of players from professional esports players to enlisted and retired military personnel were filled with battle intent when they heard her name. Everyone rushed to the spectating area and it quickly filled up.

When they got inside, they were surprised at the amount of people that BloodMoon decided to take on.

15 people! She might as well had called the guild leader over as well just for good measure. They were all elites of the Paradise Guild and they all had gear that was at least fine gold ranked. The Thief and the warrior also had epic weapons.

How confident of this lady! Everyone wanted to say that she had no chance but just couldn't be sure. They had all heard of her feats and knew that some of these people stood no chance against her in a 1 on 1 fight. Either way, whether she she won or lost, she had to make it interesting.

At this moment, A person came out of the void. To everyone in the stands, this person was very familiar to them.

"Is that President Blackburn?"

"Why is he here?"

"I would understand if a random person working for them came but him? This is crazy!"

Everyone was stunned, even BloodMoon was slightly perplexed.

At this moment, President Blackburn spoke. "It seems that quite a few of you have already recognized me. For those of you that don't know, I am President of Dogma, Cole Blackburn. I will be presiding over this battle due to some of the people participating in this battle. I will also add some stakes to what you have already set." Looking over at the Paradise Guild, he was filled with disgust and anger but showed no change in his expression. "The Paradise Guild is staking their Bloodline on Sinister and Backbreaker and their characters. I will add onto this. If they lose this match, not only will they lose what they staked, the Paradise guild will cease to exist and everyone in it will be banned from entering the game through any means. Everything the Guild owns will belong to Bloodmoon. Unless you tech is more advanced than anyone's on this planet and you can change your dna, bone structure, blood and even your soul, don't think of bypassing our security." His voice full of confidence when he said this. He turned towards BloodMoon and said. "BloodMoon, you are staking all of your gear in and outside your inventory, your bloodline and your character as well. I will add onto this. You will have to face 1,000 of the Paradise guild members. Is this good with the both of you?"

Scarlett almost coughed blood. Even the spectators thought it was ridiculous. Scarlett looked at this man and saw that someone was behind him in stealth. They had a playful smirk on their face while she was looking at them. Noticing that BloodMoon had seen them, they sent a message to her.

[QueenOfDarkness: Don't let me down. I have high expectations for you.]

After seeing the message, she looked back and they were gone.

"BloodMoon, the Paradise Guild has agreed. Do you wish to renege right now?" President Blackburn asked.

Scarlett snapped out of it and said. "It time to paint the world red. I'm all for it.

"Since both parties have agreed, I will give the Paradise guild 1 hour to get their troops here." After saying this, President Blackburn dissapeared into the void.

The crowd was silent. They looked at this little woman as if staring at an exotic species. She just walked towards a wall and leaned against it without any care in the world. Then they saw a bow appear out of thin air. When they all saw this bow, everyone had the same word on their mind, 'Unique Item!'. For many of them, it was the first time they had seen one. When the Guild leader of the Paradise Guild saw this, his eyes twitched. The other guild leaders that were in the crowd also almost had a heart attack. This included Phoenix Wing.

[You have the required 100 fire essence to upgrade your weapon. Would you like to upgrade now? (Upgrade will take 45 minutes)]

[Yes]

The weapon then silently upgraded while she summoned a bird covered in flames.

This bird was naturally Luna that hatched earlier on. She was covered in deep crimson flames and had shiny red feathers. It had a crown of flames that on its head that made it look very domineering. Everyone including President Blackburn who was hiding in the void was startled when they saw this.

They saw the cold expression on BloodMoon's face change to that of a mother looking at her child. She then began to rub under its beak with her finger. Noticing someone looking at her with greedy intentions, she looked at them with a glare. Her face changed fast. So fast that everyone felt uncomfortable. It was then that they heard a scream.

"AAAAAAGGGGHHHH!" This scream made everyone shudder like they had jumped into a frozen lake. The then saw a flame on the tip of BloodMoon's finger, she extinguished it and coldly smiled. She put her finger against her lips. She shushed the crowd and the Paradise guild with this movement.

"You guys... You don't get any last words." BloodMoon went back to playing with her bird and her face returned to being at peace. For the rest of the time, no one talked as they could feel the silent fury building up within her.

Why is she so angry? Only President Blackburn and that Mystery Thief would know. President Blackburn was feeling this cold fury and felt like he was on fire and frozen at the same time. He then looked at her and found her looking at him. Considering he was in the void, this astonished him.

"Uh...Grace?"

That's right. The Mystery Thief from before is none other than Grace Heatherfield. She is also the one that decided to spice up the stakes.

"What is it?"

"I think Scarlett can see me."

"There's no way that's possible. Even her father wouldn't be able to see you right now." After Grace said that, she heard a notification and she checked it.

[Message from BloodMoon. Would you like to see it?]

Her eyes flared open but then she calmed down. Even though she could see her doesn't mean that she would know who she is. That was until she read the message.

[Aunt Heatherfield, I'll talk to you after I deal with these guys. I wonder what you'll give me to keep me quiet about this...]

For the first time since she left the army, she felt afraid of someone. And this someone was only a 17 year old girl, fresh out of high school. 'What a freak!' she exclaimed inwardly.

After unpausing her stream, Scarlett looked at her viewer count and saw at 2 million viewers. Seeing this, she stopped worrying about it and continued playing with her bird.

About 55 minutes later everyone was here and President Blackburn reappeared from the void once more.

"Everyone on both sides has appeared. Are both parties ready?"

Both BloodMoon and the Guild Leader of Paradise, Heaven Blessed, nodded.

At this time, the arena began to glow and with a flash of light, the fighters were teleported into a separate space. When everyone saw this, they were about to shout "Where did they go but before they could, a screen appeared infront of them and had a list of teams on it. The top of the screen said spectating tablet . There were 2 team that they were able to spectate. The red and blue team. The red team had 1000 people in it. The blue team on the other hand only had 1 person on it. Almost everyone clicked on on the blue team and saw a lonely Thief bringing a black mask towards her face to put on. They then saw her put her hand out and a crimson flame appeared. This crimson flame changed into a glossy gold bow with crimson flame wrapped around it The bow string also had a red glow to it.

This is the new and improved Yatagarasu's Bow that she just spent 100 fire essence upgrading. It also came with a new AoE attack.

[Raining Hell] The arrow you release will charge into the skies to any height you want up to 300 meters. The arrow will then explode into thousands of mini arrows and rapidly descend onto anything below it. The higher it goes the lower the damage but will also split into more arrows. Lasts 5 seconds from when the first arrow lands.

MP: 400. Area Effect: 50×50 meters.

Recharge Time: 3 minutes
