1.7 - King of The Shadows

After 3 hours of killing and almost getting killed, I killed the last enemy in the 8th wave.

At this point I was physically exhausted. But, I was excited. I could feel myself improve at a speed I never have before. I wanted to go on but I just didn't have the energy.

At this point, I tell the stream that I am gonna take a 1 hour break to eat and shower. Then I log off.

After getting up and out of the cabin, I feel a wave of exhaustion hit me. I stumble my way over to my fridge and open it. I grab a bottle of A-Rank Nutrient Solution and chug it down. After downing it, I feel my exhaustion quickly leave my body. Then I eat some leftover food from the resturant that I went to earlier. After I finished that, I take a shower, put the bodysuit back on and jump back into the cabin.

After getting back into the game and starting the stream back up, I was met with a bombardment of messages in the stream chat. Most of them encouraging me to go all the way. Some asking me what I ate for dinner. I just them that it was leftovers from earlier today. It feels strange interacting with people without actually see their faces. But I can get used to it.

When I leveled up before I took a break. So I distributed my attribute points. I haven't spent any since Lvl. 5 so i have 30 to distibute.

My dagger gained another ability.

[Moon God's Wrath] [Growth Type]

Common Dagger

[Attack] 60 - 65 [Attack Speed] +25%

[Agility] +20 [Movement Speed] +35%

Special Ability 1

[Wrath of The Moon God]

+50% to all Atributes. +25% damage. +20% movement speed. Immune to crowd control and debuffs. Lasts for 90 seconds. Cooldown: 3 hours. When there is a full moon out, duration is doubled while the cooldown increases to 4 hours.

Special Ability 2

[New Moon]

Makes all enemies within 50 yards blind.

30% Decrease in all atributes. Grants the caster 1% health regen every second for how ever many enemies you effect with New Moon. Lasts for 10 minutes.

Passive Ability

[Duality]

Gives you a second blade. One that drips blood and another that sucks blood. 2nd blade is black with runes on it. Runes light up red when active. When the runes light up, the Blade sucks the lifeforce of your foe and converts it into yours. Increased attack speed by 20%.

0/2 Moonstones to upgrade to Uncommon. Moonstones can be used to upgrade to the next rank. Cannot be dropped. Cannot be traded. Bound to BloodMoon.

And my mask also recieved a new Ability.

Special Ability: [Wings of Sylvan]

Transforms mask into a pair of wings. Can fly until stamina runs out or until you take a certain amount of damage (35% of your hp) can use stealth while flying. (Cannot fly durring certain instances like dungeons and trials or on certain hidden maps.)

Special Ability 2

[Rage of Sylvan]

Boosts attributes of player by 125% Movement speed increased by 50%

Ignores Crowd Control and every status effect besides bleed. After duration is over, player will be in a weakened state for 1 hour, if used with another buff, it becomes 3 hours and if used with a third, it becomes 9 hours. Duration: 2 minutes. Cooldown: 1 day

After stretching and get used to the second dagger in my off hand. I prepared the 9th for battle. In this wave there were 4 chieftains. The 1st used a sword and a shield, the 2nd used 1 one handed sword. The 3rd used 1 two handed great sword and the last one was using 2 one handed swords

I start off with a blade barrage instead of going into stealth.

I got lucky on the 3rd Undead champion and managed to score 2 crits and brought it below half hp while the others were at about 2/3rds of the HP bar. I quickly went into stealth afterwards. I slowly kited these warriors as fighting them head on when they are bunched up is the same as asking for death.

After using some bandages, I quickly went to max health and a waited the next round.

When the time reached zero, I was teleported to a clearing in the middle of a forest. Then all all of the light in this area was suddenly gone. I heard a voice. "Congratulations for making it this far... Unfortunately, you have to get through me to pass.

After the voice finished speaking, the whistle of a blade was heard closing in on my neck and I hurriedly duck and dodge out of the way.

"Oh? You reacted faster that I thought you would. Hopefully you don't disappoint me. It's been a long time since I've let loose."

After dodging that blow, my eyes congealed as I set my gaze upon my target.

"I like the look in your eyes. I'm gonna have fun playing with you." He says this and licks his blade then... he vanishes.

The Stream Chat:

CrazyMage: Hey President Blackburn, did you hire someone from the League of Assassin's to be a lord ranked boss and deal with BloodMoon?

Phoenix Wing: This boss is no different from a real life professional assassin. The difference is that this one is a battle crazed maniac. Im not sure that anyone can beat him without a team. And even then... the chances are not in my favor.

ILikeKats: How is this any different from a crazed player. It seems more human that most people I know.

When this boss showed up, everyone lost all hope towards me being able to do this. Even I thought it be very difficult.

I closed my eyes and tried to feel for any changes in the wind. But I couldn't sense anything. The wind was gentle and the grass was naturally swaying. I decided to take a gamble and predict were he was coming from.

I raise my dagger to meet his but unfortunately our strengths are very different. I was blown back 10 meters before I could stabilize my self. I lost 150 hp and was left with with 550 hp. My arm felt numb and I was regretting trying to take that blow

"You managed to block that? Impressive! Let me se how far you can go." This time, the crazy bastard didn't even bother to go into stealth. He launched a barrage of attacks on all of my weakest points. I was barely dodging them and was left with no choice but to use my dagger's special ability.

[Wrath of the Moon God]

+50% to all Atributes. +25% damage. +20% movement speed. Immune to crowd control and debuffs. Lasts for 90 seconds. Cooldown: 3 hours. When there is a new moon out, duration is doubled while the cooldown increases to 4 hours.

After using this, the pressure became slightly easier to deal with and I wasn't getting blown back meters away. After a 10 seconds I started to get the upper hand but then Ghost used a berserk ability and brought it to about even. Then he used something that no would ever expect.

[Illusive Shadow]

Splits the user into 2 but only 1 is real. Confuses the enemy. User's damage is decreased by 25% but attack speed is increased by 15%

"Which is real, which is fake? Will you even have the chance to tell me?" Ghost seemed to be teasing me with the tone he was using but but I knew he was finally getting serious. I look closely at both of them and quickly analyze them.

After looking closely I formulate a plan an close in on the 2. I get close to one of them and use a temple strike on it and at the same time I use blade barrage and throw knives at the other one.

I deal 440 damage on the spot but Ghost doesn't slow down and instead, he becomes a step faster. I wouldn't be able to raise my dagger in time so I was forced to use gale steps. After using gale steps, i was hit hard but fortunately, I was immune to damage.

After that, I circled around him and attempted to do a Reverse Backstab stab, only for it to be blocked. Since he could do this, I feinted with a slash and he attempted to block it only to be met with an afterimage and I used the time he pulled back his blade to use Cutthroat.

100% Skill Completion, 250% true damage. critical hit.

I managed to proc the bleeding effect but since he was a boss it only lasted for 5 seconds. During this time, I was in stealth because he can definitely kill me with one critical hit. I backed away as soon as I saw damage numbers.

"That was a pretty decent feint you pulled off there. I didn't think you would be able to do that. Looks like I really can go all out. I am having alot of fun. Keep it up." After saying this, a smile full of bloodthirst creeps onto his face, then he fades away like he was never there. This made all of the hairs on my body stand erect and my body was warning me of danger closing in from all sides.

It was at this moment when I heard Ivy frantically speaking to me. "Something has happened. The timespace has been breached. I'm afraid that one of the intruders has made his way to you and the others are on their way. You need to hurry and kill him if you can or escape. I can only delay them for 10 minutes. The rest is up to you."
